sure, why not
but personally i wouldn't have posted that because you're basically saying you already think the nba wants you to be in it, don't post things like that for people to see when there's a chance the nba won't even ask you
but in the end i'm pretty sure they will and i think he should

B-RAD 06-28-2009 11:28 PM

admiral, you took the words right out of my brain.

Febreezy 06-28-2009 11:34 PM

Yes he should.

But then people would then really bring on the V.C comparisons

jeffb 06-28-2009 11:36 PM

I say no. Build your name for a season or two within the league and don't do it until they (the NBA) really want you there. I don't really like the fact that he's thinking about shit like this.

B-RAD 06-28-2009 11:48 PM

man, he's just having fun he's a person to. he's only 19 he's probably out there drinking his brains out partying every night into the early mornings and experimenting. his life isn't all about basketball basketball basketball. let him think what he wants. at least it probably helps get his mind of his mom having lupus and being in pain. who cares and honestly if anything this is good because it means that he's going to bring all he's got to the table because he's gonna have to do some spectatacular dunks to beat out other players. lebron is already a lock we know that, nate robinson is too, prolly dwight, so he's gonna have to have some game if he wants that 4th spot.

Kuzzy 06-29-2009 01:27 AM

this kids getting WAY ahead of himself. He hasnt even established himself as a recognized player in the league and hes already discussing his status in next years all-star game festivities.
Man I really want the Derozan talk to just quite down. Lets see what he can do on the court first!

what better way to build your name than to win a dunk contest

Shifty.py 06-29-2009 03:18 AM

Many rookies are participating in dunk contest.

But after Moon failed, obviously due to lack of experience, I'm not sure if its a good idea.
Lets see what he can do on the court first.

I think there's no chance that the league doesn't ask him. The dunk competition is a platform for young up and coming talent. In this years draft who is the top billed dunker? DeMar DeRozan. He will get the PT in Toronto all season. He will get more PT than most other guys drafted this year. He will not get overlooked.

So much being read into one sentence and from of all places - twitter.

Torontosaurus 06-29-2009 10:01 AM

I'm all for it as long as he does better than Moon. I wonder if D12 will be in it again this year? I want real dunks, not gimmick dunks.

Gurk 06-29-2009 10:27 AM

Sure why not. I don't mind him doing it but the thing is will he even be chosen?

Pistol Pete 06-29-2009 11:26 AM

Well, it looks like he really wants to do this:

I'm thinking about doing the dunk contest this season. Come up with dunks for me. Post them on YouTube. I will select the best and do them.

INSIDER 06-29-2009 11:45 AM

for some reason, i'm disliking this kid more and more with each passing day.
little things like this bug me... i dunno why.
he hasnt even signed the NBA contract yet and he's talking about doing the slam dunk contest... sigh, get your priorities right please. how about working on your J?

m5racer 06-29-2009 11:48 AM

Do it! its the only thing that makes all star weekend exciting, and last time moon fucked up hard beucase he had no brain so hopefully you can have a better outcome.
