Delfino? Seriously?

Ok... i've been ghosting this forum for the last year now, just watching what's going on, and I'm seriously wondering why everyone thinks that

A) He'll leave his nice $10million contract in 'old country'
B) He'd come back to this disaster if he was going to come back to the NBA (y wouldnt he just wait till the Raps no longer own his rights and sign with a true contender)
and
C) He was good... but are you all forgetting he was STREAKY as fuck?

Opinions? Thoughts?

What I want to know is why the Delfino "issue" (if you can even call it that) is what you came out of hiding for...

Perimeter defense, rebounding, and ability to catch on fire.

Opinions? Thoughts?

it is an issue, cuz ive seen multiple posts where ppl include him as part of BC's "rebuilding" and i'd like to know why...

Demon...
I agree with the Defensive thing, but his ability to catch on fire also means he has the ability to dunk himself in a bucket of ice water at times also....

we couldnt take the $4(ish) million we'd end up paying him and find someone else? (i say $4mill cuz theres no way hes worth Kapono money, not that Kapono is worth that money either mind you... and hes obviously not worth the $10 million they're supposedly not paying him in Russia either)

Because BC stated in an interview with the Fan 590 that he will be signing Delfino in the summer. I would assume that by making that statement BC has already had talks with Delfino. It is posted on this forum if you care to look for it, Doc could maybe point you in the right direction.

obv when your 10 games+ under .500, a player of Delfino's attributes will make you win 50.

You can tell how desperate Raptors are when the GM and fans are crying for a player worth 2 second round picks and no other team in NBA offered him any decent deal. ... Let's be honest here, Delfino is just a bench player who plays good games as much as bad games. Some guys seems to forget Delfino's nickname used to be Brickfino

Where in the thread did anybody say Delfino would make the team win 50 games? Just to clarify to you what the post is about; Dutches was wondering why everybody thinks BC will sign Delfino and I informed him/her because he said he was going to.

Got that straight? Nobody said anything about 50 wins or how much of an impact he would be.

And you've brought back Carlos Delfino, who by leaving for Russia has somehow been elevated to a status that seems unlikely given he has come off the bench his entire NBA career, including one season on a 41-win Raptors team. His numbers projected over 36 minutes: 13.8 points (meh) and 6.7 rebounds (nice!) on 39-per-cent shooting (maybe that's why he got all those rebounds?).
Pretty much sums it up for me.

I rather have Brickfino, atleast he is not a total pylon and actually contribute on defense and rebounding, KAPONO on the other hand, is just complete useless from offense to defense.

So because BC said that he'll bring back Delfino it's GOTTA be true. He also said Charlie V wouldn't be traded and yeah that worked out swell.

Why some people love Delfino I'll never really know.

Now Kapono is a different story. Is not fair to compare a mediocre player (Delfino) with other mediocre player (Kapono) just to justify the need to bring back Delfino. I mean, what is the point? Is not like BC can cancel Kapono's contract and give one to Delfino.
If BC has money, why not bringing a good player with more chances to contribute to this team, the same way he brought A. Parker or Garbo.

Just what we need, another woefully inconsistent wing player.
