Default Delfino leaves Khimki

It's from his personal website. It explains that the team couldn't afford paying him the deal, and then he thanks Khimki for the opportunity. At the end, he says he knows that the market is moving slowly, but he hopes he'll have some news in the next hours about his future.

____________

Right now he's useless here, but we could get something back because Milwaulkee is really hot after him. A S&T would be much better than losing him to Spain, where some teams still have plenty of cash and no wing players (like Real Madrid or Caja Laboral)

lol, what a guy, all teams are using their money, even in Europe. Sooner or later he is going to have to sign and itll probably be for a lot more cheaper then he though he would sign for..

Cheers

Delfino's eating a truck full of humble pie when he finally signs that contract and realizes he's worth one fifth of the value he set out for.

If the Raptors paid anything close to 5mil per year for Delfino, he would become a Banks type albatross to the team.
He was aquired for a 2nd round pic and showed little when he played here. He tried the strong arm stuff and left for Russia, bitched and whined there, and he is suddenly worth Markus Banks type money?
Banks had a good 1/2 season on a bad team and got a big payday, I think BC can see the future value of Delfino.

Lets just move on, he wasnever that good or consistant with his game.

^^^

Showed little, huh?

No way this guy brought energy, scoring and rebounding off the bench. The 07/08 Raptors team had a terrific bench mostly because of him and Rasho!

I thought those Raps were good because of Garbajosa, Parker and Bargnani being ungaurdable.

Thanks for making my point ... he doesn't warrant starters money, he has yet to develop a consistant offensive game, and he is scambly on defence.

Showed little ... not nothing ... little.

We don't need Delfino anymore. If we get Delfino, Derozan will be pushed down further in the rotation and if Derozann doesn't contribute he'll lose some confidence and maybe end up like Joey or Stephen Graham.

Well, move Wright in package with Roko or Douby for some big man and make Delfino second SF behind Turk. They are so similar in playing style and abilities that we won't skip a beat when Hedo is resting.

hmm, I'd like to see some of the similarities. Turk is a below average defender and rebounder well Delfino is above par. They play different games offensively, and Delfino would be more prone t othe shooting guard position then small forward, even though their are a lot of similarities to the positions.

Cheers

I would say 4Mil max. But who cares at this point. We don't need him anymore, and unless we can get a S&T done where we get a decent SF/PF it doesn't matter.

I think we have enough good SF/PF that this deep down in the roster won't certainly make or break us.

Cheers

You're just saying bullshit. Delfino never played in Garbajosa's time here!
He is useful in a lot of teams, specially Milwaulkee. He worths 4M without a doubt. Ryan Hollins got nearly 3 and Jarret Jack got 5...

We could get something in return, maybe Kurt Thomas
