that's because rose of 2009/10 is not even close to rose of last year. He's still recovering from injury, and is in the same situation Jose was last season. Without his explosiveness, his poor D becomes more obvious, and his offense goes down the drain, since it was based on getting to the rim.

Jose is a solid and above-average point guard, but by no means is he one of the best or ever will be. Studs like Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and Steve Nash are the difference between average pgs and great pgs. Jose sits somewhere in between that line.

Don't worry folks, the scouts are on it. In the meantime, we'll have to settle for our much better than average Spanish PG who shows more ehart than any of his current mates.
Lol! Awesome!

Well said. I'm really starting to think that it may have been rust more than anything else for Jose.... the guy usually plays for Spain and thus stays "in rhythm" pretty much the whole year round. This summer he had to take a rest and it slowed him a bit (the missed FTs point to this too).

He seems to be rounding into form now which is great.

Anyone see that Hornets/Suns game? Because as Nash was TORCHING Paul time & time again I couldnt' help but think.... "THIS guy is the best PG in the league?? Dude can't even stay in front of an old man!"

Amazing how shoddy TEAM D can make a player look bad....

You got it, darlin'! Where's the novel?

No need to clone, SJ can share. And that way you can throw me back to him when you get annoyed after 2 days.

It's still in it's embryonic stages...but from what I've heard you're quite the talented writer and behind every great writer is a great editor [I'm actually not at all sure of the truth behind the latter part of that statement, it just felt proper]

That being said, SJ has always preached sharing, that's just the kind of nice guy he is...The worrisome part of that whole scenario would be that once it's time to give you back, you want want to leave.

I used to edit a lot ofmanuscripts when I did more freelance work. I still do, and I still like it. Keep me updated!

I don't know who told you that SJ was nice, but ok.. we'll go with that .

And don't worry. I won't want to leave. SJ has sung your praises on more than one occasion.

i can't think, off the top of my head, of any tough as nails, hard-nosed, defensive pg's who are on the trading block, or who are on teams that are already so defensive-minded that they would be willing to give up their starting defensive pg to take jose in return. can you give me an example or two? can you name some guys that we would actually have a shot at and who's contracts could match (even with additional players involved) to illustrate that this opportunity is actually out there?
Nowhere did I say we need to trade Jose for another PG. I'd rather trade him and get a starting 2 that fulfills those needs and let Jack start at PG, Bellinelli back him up and Banks as the injury reserve guy.

As for doing the numbers..I am not a GM, dont' know where to look for salaries and don't have the time We've had opportunities though...for example, I would have kept Ford, and signed and traded Calderon after the first year he 'emerged' on the team that lost to NJ. His value was really high then. As for now the biggest name I know of that I'd love to see on this team is Stephen Jackson. I dont' know what he makes but we have depth so if there was a way to get Jackson for Calderon and other pieces i'd seriously look at that.
