Camping in Las Vegas in July? It would be so sweaty in the tent.

so i guess he's good enough to make the short list but i see him being 1 of the first guys off the roster when they start deciding, only way he makes the team is if a bunch of the SG/SF guys decide not to play, but then again if they go to the mini-camp why would they not want to be on the team

It would be pretty cool to see him play for the US team.

It just looks like a camp for future hopefuls. If i remember correctly, DeMar took part in something similar last year as well.
Is the US team even taking part in any tournament this year? I think they are skipping FIBA Americas.

Off that list I'd say Paul George, Kawhi, Klay Thompson and Chandler Parsons are all better the Demar. He's probably ahead of Beal and Waiters, but those guys are rookies and both better outside shooters.

Team USA scores mainly in 2 ways, in transition and off dribble penetration/3 pointers in the half-court.

I highly doubt Demar can make the USA Select team.

On the off chance that DD does make it, will it change any other posters negative view of him?

making a team shouldn't change a perspective, rather seeing him develop some of his weaknesses could.

It's not even a team- it's to see who might get invited to tryout camp for the national team down the road, so they might go to camp with, LeBron, Melo, Westbrook,Paul,Durant,Curry, Chandler,Griffin and other serious real players. This is like applauding teenagers for getting zits.

I would think on the extreme outside chance that he made the team, based on the criteria from above for international play, 3pt shooting wouldn't be an issue

i think this list doesn't include some of the main players that might already have guaranteed roster spots
there's no way guys like Lebron, Melo, Durant, etc. are all not on that list because they all don't want to play, i think its more because they're already guaranteed spots or at least they don't have to go to this camp to compete for a spot

theres only two 4 year players on this list, and demar isn't even close to being the best player on that list

Harrison barnes is also better than demar he proved it in the playoffs, can guard, hit the 3 showed and can get inside, obviously his stats are not that good but if you factor in curry, Thompson, david lee its going to be tough for a rookie to put up numbers

now I know why bc loved this guy in the draft, to bad golden state didn't intentionally tank he would be in the Raptors lineup

if only we won that coin toss, we'd have drafted Barnes instead of Ross, there was definitely a drop in player quality after the golden state pick
oh well, at least Ross looks to be a player too
