Maybe the Raptors can build a team around DD that can actually win unlike they did for others.

I wasn't impressed by Demar's rookie season, but I'm hoping his talent and work ethic will make him rise in the NBA as a premier 2 guard

his drew league stats sound good but his highlights look funny dunking against ymca guys mashed in with some college and nba dudes

if he plays summer league we'll see what he can do, could be fun summer league with davis and alabi playing the bigs we should win some games

Its really too early to talk about DD he has the potential to be a good if not great player.
Weems is also in that category and they seem to work well together.
Yes summer league will be fun hopefully they bring ion some non drafted players as well think thee are potential jewels there.
I'm happy Andy Rautins was drafted but would have perfered seeing hi9m shotting 3s for
the Raptors

This is a good sign. It shows the current young players aren't afraid to step into the spotlight and take over for Bosh. Demar has plenty of potential and will have more of the "main guy" effect than Bargs. It's great to see young players with this much drive and dedication.

This is the "new chatter" that all the athletes are taught these days.

"How can you succeed if you don't think you are the best?"

As a starting 2 guard, he had every opportunity to take over a game and win one for us. That didn't happen.

I like DD, but show us on the floor...not in the comfort of your posh condo goofing on Twitter.

Show us first please ... I like the kid, but his bravado is not aligned to his performance or capability to date.

I would prefer building around DD than Bargnani
but the main players I to stay are DD,Bargs,Amir and weems
I'm not sold on Davis yet but I can't wait to see him play

I really the attitude of Demar

DD wasn't the focus of the offense 95% of the time.

It's hard to take over a game when the coach keeps saying "throw it into bosh"

I don't think this is arrogant or anything like that all (assuming he's even referring to the Bosh situation).

Regardless of what you think of his game, I think it's nice to have a stand up young guy that cares and wants to right the ship here in TO.

Does he really say that about the Bosh situation and the team to us, the fan ? REALLY ?

if it is, so i like it.

i hope he carry youngs guns with weems, johnson and the 2 rookies on the field and let them find a way to show how play BBall.

maybe some piece to glue this, and that won"t be so bad next year.

let them growing up and show what a team of young guys can do when they become a team whitout a star.

i will proud of a team who show us some energy every game and some angryness to try hard they can to win and make us have faith.

While I am not suggesting DD is capable of putting the franchise on his back, his late season play, combined with some big games in garbage time over the middle of the season have given me some confidence that this kid could be pretty good. He's the closes thing we've had to that dynamic wing that can get to the rack at will in ages. We might be getting a really close look at him in the coming season

probably. that's how i take it at least.

Looking back on when Demar was drafted and on the past season, i think he himself had some positive moments in the NBA and in Toronto. Besides that, i think he probably surprised himself how he liked being in Toronto as a city (it's just an impression i get). Let's remember he was reluctant to distance himself from his hometown on LA before coming into the NBA. Well now he's in Toronto. He's having a good time, he's playing with his good friends. Things aren't all too bad here now are they?

I mean with all the talk of Bosh leaving, i think Demar is standing up for this team and like Acie and you point out, that's a great thing.

Now may you all kindly disregard the trace of sarcasm in my initial post.

I think DD is ready to assume more responsibility. How many times did we see Demar fly out of the gates only to see Triano sit him in the 2nd quarter and 4th quarter? I'm sure he was taking it all in, learning from observing.

Looking at some of the highlights from the Drew league, Demar seems ready to shoulder more of an offensive role this coming season.
