What we will likely see is whether enough holes get filled to be enough cause for some excitement. I still wouldn't count on seeing him all beaming and full of light. He's a no-nonsense, get-the-job done kind of guy. Most cities would welcome such a demeanor. In Toronto we get guys on message boards, like you, offering a sense of what their impressions are in some random moments and discounting what is a pretty clear commitment on the court.
MY impressions means something to me. If it means nothing to you, I could care less. Ultimately we all form opinions/impressions just like you calling him a nononsense kind of guy.....says who? Is that you're impression of him? Whatever, like I said we'll see what happens in the near future.

It's funny how quickly things can change though. 1 winning season. 1 season of significant improvement. 1 season of good relationships within the team. I have a feeling this guy will stick around.
I hope you're right, I love his game. Winning will make a difference and go a long way in possibly keeping him here.

both Bosh and Carter stayed. they stayed long enough to know that our team wasn't going anywhere. they didn't quit on the location of the team, they quit on the inability to build a team that would put us into contention.

it's all inferiority complex. people started suggesting he wanted to leave because he had unc as the background of his twitter page, not the raptors.

My impressions have to do with what he does on the court. If you want to offer the same it would mean something to me. Do they train PIs in ESP? Have you been asked to offer your impressions based on appearances in court? It's not just meaningless to me, it's meaningless entirely, outside of the wide swath of our culture that takes TMZ seriously.

The NBA pushed hard for years to have Vince in the US...... eventually it had to happen. The same will happen to DD if he explodes into an electric player.

They all leave? All the tremendous stars that have come through here? This team has not had any recognizably great talent. There have been players with some potential to be great, and they largely found themselves without the kind of support that could propel them to greatness. But it's all about Toronto not being cool. And that is based on what? How much they all said they loved Toronto for years afterwards. Please tell me what players find so cool about buttfuck towns like OKC and San Antonio.

I mean, I get the sense of nihilism, but before being miserable about the parade of great players that left, may I suggest being miserable about the complete lack of great players ever arriving. If you can go there, then you might get some sense of why anyone leaves or why Toronto fails to be attractive. Davis will need to see at least a group of good players that can amount to a team with the potential to be great somewhere down the road. If that is there then he is not going to want out automatically, obviously.

Yeah, Vince was so electric by the time he left here. It just felt wrong to have Canadians enjoying what he brought to sitting on the bench.

Funk/Filth already hit the nail on the head. It doesn't have anything to with the city (A LOT of players love Toronto)... it has EVERYTHING to do with the Raps being a perennial loser.

If you're in your early 20s and you're making millions as a pro athlete are you going to want to live in T.O. or someplace like Minnesota?

Look at all the teams in L.A. that can't get/keep talent.... SAC.... LAC.... GS.

Cali is great but no one wants to go there because those teams suck ass.

love handles doesn't mean that a guy isn't in shape..... in fact, sometimes any added weight, including non-muscle weight, can be very beneficial to many players.

However, your impressions (quite often) are misinformed and simplistic and it's quite hard to ignore your impressions when they're thrown in our face every second with an absolute stubbornness to ever acknowledge the other side.

You're basing an opinion on virtually air. Nothing. If it was formed on something concrete then that would be great, but right now, it's nothing. Unless you know the guy personally, or, have a quote from him that I haven't seen, you have an opinion based on nothing. Sorry.

Sorry - I should have told him to PM you to discuss your concerns. I'm sure he would have been enlightened.
