Fair enough. I suppose he doesn't really look at DD as a guy that is that difficult to shut down given his inefficiency outside of his FT potential.

Is that a hardened fact?

Depth is not the answer. They need to improve on last season's defense as much as anything else. If they can do that, and start to define a core, then they will have a legitimate shot. I'd be surprised if they didn't finish at .500. If the defense takes a step back, and the idea of a core gets muddled amidst all the new additions, then they won't likely be 9.

That's what she said......

I actually was just supposing how he might have viewed DD, so no, not a hardened fact.... though I do appreciate the playful jab.....

I agree, a core is a nice thing, but I'd like it to have more than role players. We need an impact guy in my opinion. I agree, depth is the problem at this point.... it's being given to us as a remedy when in fact it's not a viable solution.

There needs to be more talent come playoff time, but regular season will work out fine if they have role players that make each other better. From there they will at least have some sense of what kind of impact guy makes the most sense.

You're dead right. It really is about all around team talent. Toronto lacks significant talent, and more so, veteran talent. I mean the media guys are calling Lowrey and Bargs Vets.... when really,. what they need is a solid star, 10 year vet. Those guys ain't coming here it seems.

Atlanta just sent their ace player to Nets and got pretty much nothing in return...
Replaced Marvin Williams with Devin Harris is not a huge upgrade, but rather a fair trade.
Then, they signed Lou Williams. How would that rank Atlanta #2 from East Conference?

I think Raptors is stronger than Atlanta this season for sure, and that would push Raps to 8th seed

Some call it bias but some say i have been dead nuts right from day one. I have always been a fan of CALDERON...and being the person he is on and off court how can you not like the guy.
For a guy thats been here the longest then any other and being truly one that really enjoys it here to read the bull shit said about him is pure nonsence however most on here have never played the game or just dont understand it. So knowing that i can understand all the bull shit said about him.
For example in 2 of the 3 games we have played against NBA teams Calderon has been player of the game twice....yet all the praise has gone elsewhere...how many players would have accepted the treatment that Caldy has had to put with the last few years.

I have one issue with Calderon..... I would have refused to report to camp force the Raptors hand to trade him. He just too nice of guy....more of professional then most in any sport.

On that note......Go Raptors go !!!

Add Horford for the whole year..... they're better than us. Lou Williams had a big year..... everybody said Marvin was a stiff, can't change tune now.... Smith, Horford, Lou are all in their prime and add in Teague and they're better than us right now.

Calderon's almost the highest paid player on the Raptors lol. Think we don't owe him anything. And I'm not even a Calderon hater at all.

i'm easily get excited as all other fan's for those words like "future is on Lowery and JV" and there is nothing wrong about it...more ever you need those thing to sell to media and fans to keep their hopes on.

but back to Raptor's history where been fulfill with so many hyper/faking "imagination",those like Van sanity,CB4,Young Gangs and so on so up,all which turn to be self entertainment and short time party.

we need identify our true roadmap and we need to collect some talent that can really lead us to the Title, and to do that means it is not important about how far we can go this season , it is about what we can built on after this season and what is true leadership we can find from Lowery/JV(if they had).

i can accept if they miss the playoff with some.500 record, if it is tread off to find out what we really lack of.

We dont owe Calderon nothing wow how about some respect man....thats it respect.....we have not won anything with Calderon......there you go again pure bull shit and nonsence...how can you shit out of your ass i.e lets look at last year.....everyone crying on here on how bad we are...most on here were willing to hire a hooker for a quick thrill at a cheap cost...last year which position was our best for the year.....thats right the point guard position....which position are we strong at again its the point guard spot with or without Lowry....Then all of a sudden with Lowry Jose Calderon is shit.....pure nonsence i will say again and again.....the 3 spot and 5 spot were the problem areas...hopefullly JV clears one up.
