Daily Dime: East Playoff Forecast

Lack depth? Huge disappointement? We were never forecasted to do very well to begin with.

8. Toronto Raptors: The Raptors get this final spot by default. Nobody else is worthy. In many ways this team has been a huge disappointment. I looked at a team with Jose Calderon, Hedo Turkoglu and Chris Bosh as a Canadian version of the Celtics' Big 3. But that team is just so bad defensively. Giving up 108 points a game is not going to get it done, not when you lack depth.

Most analysts picked us to come in 8th or worse....Soooooo who are we disapointing? Wilbon is the only guy that really liked us haha...

So sorry Wilbon!

how's this for moronic thinking:

Legler picks the Raptors to NOT make the playoffs before the season. Now, he picks them to make it to 8th spot, but also says we've been a HUGE dissapointment.

way to go legler, I bet math wasn't your favorite subject in school

Wait till January rolls in - he is going to change his tune once again.

Honestly, I don't feel like most of what's written by the professional hacks deserves to be discussed here. Maybe in passing, with a lot of "smileys", but definitely not in-depth...

Agreed.

Honestly, Legler seems to want to take up Steven A. Smith's mantle as "the most hated basketball analyst in Canada".

I question as to whether he's even watched a single Raptor game. Ever.

these write ups are so idiotic.
all of these writer's talked shit about us not making the playoffs and not even being a .500 team, yet when they make predictions after 15 games, and they slot us as 8th seed, we are a disappointment? sigh.

like Mike said, wait til January.... we'll be a disappointment for being 5th seed, and not top 4.

Its the "shock" media really. It doesn't take a genius to know that Toronto Raptor Internet Fans are problably the largest out of any other. These "new aged" ink stained wretches need hits so they'll provide "shock" type remarks with popular teams.

Big deal this is one reason why my Basketball reading is read by only a select few. Watching the games is more than enough for me.

I would love to see them pull a deal for Battier... He could help fix their defensive woes.

I would love to see a 3-way deal in which we get battier and roy hibbert.

Houston could use Bargnani's offence especially since Yao is down and the rest of their guys are pretty good inside.

And Indiana... well they can use anyone haha.

ESPN is a huge disappointment. But then they have been for so long that maybe they don't even disappoint anymore.
