well, if weems stays he has to come off the bench, because his game is best suited for that..

he just shoots..

Big step backwards IMO if we let both of these guys go..... they're athletic and they can get out and defend better than most of the guys on our roster. Weems can also hit the jumper (as long as he's not getting too crazy).

We've been wanting some decent wing guys (who have the ability to play D) for a long time now... and we should give them up for a 3pt shooter?

WHY???

i agree
its understandable why some ppl be against weems but this year was a chance for players to step up and see what they got. so i think weems may be playing outside of himself a bit. so we now know what weems is capable of, and who knows, he might continue to get better. but i think we should keep him to be a bench guy. he's a solid sf in that role

i think Dorrell Wright would be a great addition to this team at the 3 spot

hes one of the select few SFs that can shoot well from beyond the arch and is athletic and a good defender

yes to weems, no to wright. i wanna see wright come back and come off the bench. we can also use him in defensive situations as he excels in that area.

exactly, and if wright can develop some kind of jumper then his value will be greater

weems needs to go if nothing but to allow demar to develop further

This is a young team and i would like to keep as many around as possible, the one thing i like about ATL is that thier team has played together for so long, the team has a great chemistry on the floor, same goes for OKC, and as well as the spurs.

i would like to keep our young core together even if they are coming of the bench, esp. since they are considerably cheap...

I would trade anyone of Bargz, Calderon, Klieza, Evans, Barbosa and a conditional first
for
Either
Curry + fillers
or Mayo + Fillers

and then draft Irving, or a strong PF, get a hold of robin lopez, and then we would have a solid young core that can learn how to play great basketball together, and defense hopefully.

God sakes... at least Wright has a role as 10 minute a game defence guy and would be cheap. Weems cannot find a role. He just can't score the ball enough to play that position, isn't a defensive shutdown guy, and can't run the break as fast as others at that spot. He doesn't stand out anywhere.

maybe. i suppose it is possible, but the reality is that they are both fringe players. I'm not suggesting that i don't want either or both of them back next year, because they can have a place here depending on the price.

It's just interesting sometimes how fans of a team and even the players themselves overrate certain guys. Just ask Antoine Wright who is no doubt living his childhood dream of playing basketball in China.

Wright i believe will stay. times a changing, and he has handled the injury situation well. he is a valuable third stringer. if he can develop a jumpshot(maybe work with demar every night in the gym?) then he will be a valuable second stringer. weems will be signed up to 3mil/year increasing 5% for four years. if he gets any more ill personally trade him.
