Creative Ways to Improve Bargnani's Rebound Problem!

1) Send him to Rikers Island and make him play prison ball the entire summer. Bet you he rebounds a little harder after multiple consecutive elbows to the kidneys.

2) Spend the summer playing ball with Stephen Jackson & Ron Artest. Ron Ron doesn't take any shit from anyone, and if Bargs doesn't rebound SJAX will bust a cap.

3) Tie a Fishing rod to his back and hold a bowl of "Primo Pasta & Sauce" in front of him at all time. For motivation.

Any other ideas? :cookie:

Just have Reggie keep grabbing his nutsack if he doesn't average at least 8rpg.

4. Hire a decent rebounding coach....

bjjs 03-28-2011 12:39 PM

Is there such a thing as a rebounding coach?

He's played with JO, Reggie..... and who did he train with last summer or the one prior that was supposed get him on track? The fact is, he's not motivated to rebound the ball. You have to want the ball and go get it. The only time he wants the ball is when he's 20-25ft from the offensive basket.

So if someone plays with Kobe, does that mean they will automatically be a better scorer? :confused2:

If he's open to learning from him he can at least improve. But serioisly, he's played with some good rebounders and trained with a HOF and he's actually reggressed in the rebounding department. Sorry, but he lacks any motivation to get his nose a little dirty.

How to improve Bargnani's rebounding numbers. Send him to the WNBA, he'll get double-digit rebounding there.

HugoBoss 03-28-2011 12:59 PM

improve the defense so that opponents actually miss shots - means there are more rebounds to grab!

I wonder...if Bargs was on the Celtics or some other good D team..he'll probably average 2 more boards a game just standing there and having rebounds fall into his lap as KG boxes two guys out for him and no casual fans would probably notice since his rebounding numbers may be up a bit

Bargs is a bad rebounder, but it is made worse by him being on such a bad defensive team

lol ya if only!!!! who needs offensive rebounds anyway so overrated.

Andrea is currently averaging 5 boards a game this year. Lets say to be happy with Andrea's rebounding abilities, he'd have to grab around an extra 5 a game to average 10 rebounds per game. Are those 5 extra rebounds really that significant?

If it makes you feel any better Brook Lopez only averages 5.9 a game.

DDUnreal 03-28-2011 01:09 PM

Cause Brook Lopez is a role model player.

MARTYNAS 03-28-2011 01:09 PM

Hire Doc Ock.

lol yes it is, thats an AVERAGE of 5 more rebs....82 games times 5 and thats 410 more rebs a season, doubling his current total. so ya, its a HUGE difference
and also, its not that he's averaging 5 boards a game....its the reason why he's only average that little.

and brook lopez is getting plenty critizism because of that exact reason

Are you some kind of blood-related family member or something? Have you had a conversation with Andrea regarding his passion for the game? Please, do tell.

And Bargs does box out. Like 90% of the time. Granted, he could be more aggressive, but rebounding sometimes comes down to lucky bounces.
