Ford for Crawford? I know most here would say no, but I'm all for it.

Either way, we're just wondering: Since Mike D'Antoni, just hired to coach New York, has long run a system predicated on point guard play and since his candidates on the Knicks are shoot-first problems like Stephon Marbury and Nate Robinson and since the Raptors clearly have to deal one of their two point guards could the Knicks and Raptors make a deal?

How about a deal centred on Ford for shooting guard Jamal Crawford, who can and probably will seek a contract extension this summer, and is the kind of 20-point perimeter scorer the Raptors lack?

New Knicks czar Donnie Walsh wants to get under the cap by 2010 -- call it the summer of LeBron, but Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh might also be free agents --and faces contract extension questions from youngsters like David Lee and Robinson, plus Crawford. Maybe there's a fit there.

Of course, that assumes New York assumes the risk of Ford's health, and more, the spectre of Ford and Marbury duking it out for the starting point guard spot. Surely, whoever comes off the bench would be willing to sacrifice for the good of the team, right?

I think it is a pretty reasonable exchange, I dont want him to be in our division though.

True, but realistically we're not going to get an all-star for Ford, so getting Crawford might be a good catch for us.

I've always had this feeling that Crawford is a team chemistry killer, so sign me up in the no camp.

I feel like Crawford off the bench would be a solid asset, kinda fits the mold of a Barbosa, just plays out of control, and self centered at times...hmm kinda sounds familiar when you think about it :S

Ford for Crawford? Hmmm.. I'm not entirely sold on that one, just because TJ is 3 years younger. If Crawford were 26, I'd do this in a heartbeat.

Crawfords a career loser with terrible shot selection, questionable heart and motivation, and terrible terrible defence.

Keep him away from our team.

In my opinion, Crawford is pretty sick. If he brushes up his decision making then I'd take this deal.
He's only a career loser because he's with the Knicks. And..He's 29. I think we can try to make a run with Crawford.

Just anything to balance out our team in terms of positions. Crawford, IMO, would be a great fit to this team.
