Cold Hard Reality

has it set in yet?

Kuzzy 03-01-2008 01:12 AM

raptors fucking suck.

pimpery 03-01-2008 01:55 AM

haha well i wouldnt go that far, but i said it many times, reality... ahh it sucks, we are basically a team with many flaws and not nearly as close to being a real contender as ppl like to think. If by a team of the future you mean we have 2 or 3 guys that could make a good core and the rest need to go or take lesser roles, then yes, we are a team of the future. Some see it as a team needing serious makeover aswell.

Bosh and Calderon thats it for now, thats our future. Dont give me this Bargs shit, he hoisting up 3s like its going outta style and not improving whatsoever. W/e bullshit little improvements and future greatness ppl seeing i really wish i could, but for now even the biggest Bargs lover gotta say its def not a sure thing he is a core player of the future, its possible but far from sure... ahh reality

Kuzzy 03-01-2008 02:06 AM

nope
still believe in Bargnani
and im noticing improvement
but
moon
delfino
kapono
our swingman SUCK with the acception of AP.
SO trade a PG for SG-SF who can score.
w/e
raptors to me... suck.
YES THER BETTER THEN B4.
but come on, dont tell me wer playing this bad cuz Garbos not here, he aint our mvp.

I definitely see improvement from Bargnani, at least on the effort level. He's a lot more active, and he's having a very good month at 14 and 5, and that's with a few games where he played little time due to Sam's wrath ... Tonight would have been one of those, missed a few shots early, a few fouls - if not for Bosh's injury, he would have finished with a 3 for 13 or whatever he had at some point.
Frankly, there are other players on our team that give dubious efforts right now ... Yes Moon, I'm looking at you :)

Ball Don't Lie 03-01-2008 03:59 AM

We have no team concept on D. If someone does get beat people dont know whos the helper and who helps that guy. It's a complete embarrassment, and just shows how much of a joke Smitch is. I bet his entire practice all they do is practice offence, and we still somehow only have 2 plays on that side of the ball.

Smitch= CBA coach.

I want to know where BC or anyone said that this team was built to win in 2008? From my understanding it would be around 3 years from whence BC took over, then he said he would be able to field a top tier team in the ECF and well the NBA. We exceeded expectations last season and now we're probably playing up to expectations, i.e. a team in the top half of the playoff standings fighting for home court advantage.

Look at the teams ahead of us, Boston has a 2-3 year window before age begins to catch up. Detroit is not a young team by any stretch. That leaves really Orlando as the other team to beat eventually. I'm happy where we're at right now. That's reality.

Now, come next season, I'm gonna want to see us improve and begin flirting with a 50 win season.

Oh, and Thriller is right. Our Team Defence at times struggle and it's STILL at the SF position. But at the same time, we weren't showing any hustle out there. Specifically at the SG/SF position. I'm willing to bet that within the next year or so that will be adjusted.

Superjudge 03-01-2008 05:12 PM

Cold hard reality is that if they win that game by 20, you guys are all giggles.

Go out and gets some fresh air fellas.

Thats what I did, and I'm fine.

The MVP of West Hollywood 03-01-2008 08:44 PM

It's just patience

Just be happy you don't live in Phoenix. 40 years, a contending team in each decade, nada. Now THEY have a reason to bitch :crying: and :willy_nilly: Same with Cleveland in sports in general. 97 World Series, nuff said lol.

Superjudge 03-01-2008 10:17 PM

heh.

good points Bro!

Agree.

Dr. J. Naismith 03-02-2008 10:08 AM

It's a about expectations. If your a Raptor fan and felt this team was a championship contender, then yes I would be irrate with their performance as of late and would be spewing "they suck" every couple minutes. But, if you realize that they are still very young and inexperienced then you'd understand that the frustration is only natural but the best is still to come. Patience my friends ..... Patience. ;)

Sick, Wicked and Nasty! 03-03-2008 08:18 AM

Disapointed yes, but i know we just can't win without Bosh so i'm not too surrpsied :(

Superjudge 03-03-2008 08:46 AM

half the time we can't win with him either.

:)

teams often step up for a few games with their best player down, if Bosh was out for a very extended time (dont say 20 games mixed and matched at 2 or 3 game max periods is along time) u would see we are very very far from a 500 team without, very far.

Superjudge 03-03-2008 04:10 PM

well he has already a couple times in the last two years.

Where were you?

I know what they could do, I saw it with my own eyes.

BEsides, youre kinda stating the obvious, Toronto is a fragile team.

Belsius 03-03-2008 04:39 PM

Yep, in the last two years, To is over 50% with him out. So not having him is not an excuse, we just suck at this moment, if things go like have gone the rest of the year, we will be back to being a decent team after a couple of games where we shoot 95% from the 3 point line or something like that.
