my guess is that BC was more than willing to gut this team of all its young talent in order to get a 2 year rental on Nash, in an attempt to woo Bosh, which I would not have been happy with. I think it would not have amounted to much in keeping Bosh anyway.

I never saw Bosh and Bargnani as a tangible frontcourt. It's not about whether Bargnani is any good. Or Bosh. It was the pairing, which BC really, really, really wanted to make work.

Many people probably would have said the same about Amare and Marion.

Which is why BC would have went after Nash.

Which is why BC would have offered anyone but Bargnani and Bosh.

We're in agreement.

Why would they say that? They're completely different players.

Bosh and Barganani are two finesse big men.

you're right, they are two different players... but Amare has always been criticized for not playing enough D until this year and Marion would have been considered small to play the PF spot full time. Just saying it wasn't a prototypical situation, but it worked magically.

If it was the year before lasts (08/09), what could we offer for Nash?

We had a team of nobodies as stated before. Some players on that team are either out of the league or are benchwarmers these days. We had zero pieces to offer for Nash other than draft picks.

BC has been known to make deals happen... I wouldn't have put it past him.... though it got past him. If he didn't try to get Nash, he should be fired.

Should he be fired if he didn't offer up Andrea Bargnani for Steve Nash two years ago?

NO... it would have been foolish to move Bargnani. 7 foot skilled bigs are that rare. He should have tried to add Nash, not swap him.

I know I'm in the minority that supports Bargnani, but I take solace in the fact that I'm right.

Well, Nash is single now, so if you offer the right type of cookies, he might like that.

Does your chocolate milk bring all the boys to the yard?

I was just wondering how far you would go in your statement that BC should be fired if he didn't go after Nash. So you're saying he should have called and offered Jamario Moon and Anthony Parker. haha
