So what about bringing in Carlos Boozer and Nate Robinson? We would would have gotten a good PF who is all about winning in Boozer and Nate, well he can put up points in a hurry and be a good backup PG especially in games that we had against Memphis when we needed to score.

The crazy thing about Andrea Bargnani and his ability here in Toronto, is that he is provided with the rare opportunity to market himself as 3 entities; his Canadian entity, his Italian entity, and his American entity.

i like to hear colangelo officially giving Bargs no quarter. no, we're not trading you for nothing, and we're not playing you if you are going to continue being a passionless loper. strap on your big boy pants and play like a professional, for crying out loud...

of course it's all blah, blah, blah until he shows us a winner, but i like this tougher blah, blah, blah better than the one that always says there will be sunshine emanating from andrea's arse.

$$$$

Two max players on the roster who aren't worth max money would be disastrous.

Rudy Gay is one hell of a player but he isn't a max money type of player. Only like 10-15 guys are. I'm not dissapointed we have him at all, but having both him and Boozer at max would set us back I'm sure.

There is always an alabi for BC. BC using Bargnani's injury as an excuse for no trade:

"Bryan Colangelo says the length of the injury to Bargnani did not leave enough "runway" to get a deal done."

After six and a half years of disappointment, how long of a runway do you need? Is the 401 long enough for the Bargnani plane to take off?

Heard him on Tim and Sid. Sid asked about the situation with Andrea being booed increasingly. He did offer some defense of Andrea, but at the same time he did notably end his comment by pointing out that for the most part Andrea has brought that upon himself.

Nice to hear. A little too late though. And now if Andrea does manage to fit somehow, I'm still going to be left feeling sick and tired of hearing for years how the problems have involved everything under the sun, but not dear Andrea.

Your persistence in trying to convince us all that Andrea has never been criticized by the organization is growing tired. You're too bright for all this dreary droning.

He's been called out numerous times before by several different members of the organization. Don't worry, be happy.

Here's a question - how much did BC get played by the Bulls? They saw him put Andrea on the table in public. They then publicly make their open offer with Boozer and Nate. That immediately makes Chicago fans go crazy. Suddenly Boozer's defense and contract don't look so bad. Meanwhile casual Raptors fans see the offer and wonder why it wasn't done. Maybe they get Colangelo to shut up focus on the deal at hand next time around, instead of trying to drum up a competing offer in he media.

You take the way he handled this and the way he did the Fields cock block, and it's hard to have a lot of confidence in him. He can trade Ed Davis in a heartbeat when his value goes up, but failed to move Bargnani when his value was high. Forget about next summer. The dude should have been moved last summer.

This was not about Andrea being criticized. Yes I've heard him called an enigma, and how he has all the talent in the world at the same time. I've also heard how he maybe needs to play his natural position, how he needs to have certain kinds of players alongside him, how he was overshadowed a little bit by Bosh, how he was not 100 percent, how he's not a number one option nor paid like one, and on and on. Now when discussing what is becoming a growing amount of outright rejection - not just criticism, but outright rejection - Colangelo is willing to say that Andrea put himself in the position of having boos raining down on him. Which is entirely true, and would have been the kind of truth appropriate much sooner.

I'm not sure how I've been so persistent either carp. I mean you really want to criticize people for being too persistent?
