Colangelo Shopping Dixon & Graham
We might be saying "buh-bye" to either Dixon or Graham or both soon as BC looks to improve the roster. :)

The prime trade candidates are guard Juan Dixon, who has seen uneven minutes even with an opportunity to play as an emergency point guard with T.J. Ford out, and forward Joey Graham, whose role has all but disappeared with the emergence of Carlos Delfino and Jamario Moon.

"Juan Dixon has value, [as does] Joey Graham, and both are probably unhappy with their role right now," Colangelo said. "It's great to have depth, but managing depth is a different story. This time of year guys start getting a little chippy, they battle in practice and they all want to prove they belong on the court."

The Raptors visit the NBA defending champion San Antonio Spurs tonight before a quick turnaround for a game tomorrow against the Rockets in Houston. The Raptors face the New Orleans Hornets on New Year's Eve, which concludes a season-long seven-game trip.

The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 20 and players who signed this summer are eligible to be traded as of Dec. 15.

"Sometimes a trade, although insignificant with the respect to the [roles] of the players moved, can shake things up a little bit and bring back focus to the others," Colangelo said.

Can't argue with any of this... would be trading one or two bench guys for one or two different bench guys... going to be a shakeup thing... but really we're not going to get a major piece for either or both of these guys.

the good thing about the 2 is that dixon is a proven scorer who can help any team... he'll get you your 10 ppg off the bench and be their in a pinch as a starter to fill gaps.
graham has a world of upside and has the body of a powerhouse. teams that feel they can motivate him and start him over may be interested in the experiment.

throw in a first round pick and we can get a big name i think.
or keep the pick and get a serviceable role player.

I hope to hell its some interior help either way. Someone to provide some consistancy with toughness, defence and rebounding. I could care less if its someone who can score, but anything more would be a bonus. :)

I think the important thing here is that Colangelo says that a shakeup can bring focus back to others. I'm not really sure who specifically he is getting at here. I would think that he would like some focus to get back on Bargnani, but dealing these two won't really have any impact on that.

It would be nice if the Raptors could pick up a guy to provide some extra energy off the bench, provide a few rebounds and some defensive intensity. Not sure who I would like to see come this way (considering the value we would receive), but I'm sure I'll have more than enough to say about it if something goes down.
