He just said Bosh "is likely to leave." Hmm looks like that's that then.

Colangelo says:

-Bosh quote about not wanting to be the 2nd option, but being "The Man" is a 2 month old interview, things likely have changed.

-Says it is LIKELY Bosh WILL LEAVE!

-Says they were originally going to do a big presentation to Bosh like Miami, maybe not now.

-any communication with players by other teams may have been done illegally, some by word of mouth

-says Turk is moveable, heard Turk's complaints and it is not irreconcilable

- better to wait and see if Chris moves before further moves

-drafted a good player as insurance that Chris leaves, but needs to see what the "fallout" that Bosh leaves will be

-has spoken to Bosh about EVERY siginificant transaction in past, but right now, Bosh is pretty much out of communication with Bosh and his business team

-more clear Bosh won't re-sign

-there's been talk about "How can you lose a player for nothing?" but there was never anything that said let's go ahead and do a deal in the past, but now it's out of the organization's control. Losing another free agent in toronto is not like what it has been in the past. It's a unique situation, but it's the prefect storm for Chris Bosh to leave

-the team must now evolve and the 1st piece is Ed Davis.

-looking at picks and the TPE as assets to be recieved hypothetically in a sign and trade. A trade exception can be used to pick up a player or multiple players, or even use it with a trade with yetr another team.

EDIT: Redundant

Yep, he mentioned using the TPE and available cap space to acquire one of the other free agents in this summers's market via S&T. Sounded like he was much higher on the idea of trading Bosh for a TPE rather than other players. This makes sense to me considering all the possible trading partners in a Bosh trade want to send back horseshit like Deng or Beasley.

Is it just me or did he seem a little pissed at Bosh for his lack communication?

Well, this pretty much confirms Bosh is leaving. BC probably knows he's 100% gone, but doesn't want to admit for professional reasons.

He said the front office was frustrated

Also, I found it interesting that BC said that Bosh has had a say in most if not all of the major transactions since he has been appointed GM. Not surprising, but maybe BC shouldn't take as much heat if Bosh has ok'd the moves that put a team around him.

A little Harsh. Considering there are other Teams in the league that are Worse off than the Raptors. SAC, GSW + New York

(New York are a joke of a franchise they wont get LBJ or CB4)
GSW just play Offense + SAC just suck in every Department

So calling the Raptors out is a little harsh when their are other teams that are much worse off than the Raptors as the Records show

I'm speculating here but I'd assume those talks weren't much more than "here is a trade I'm putting together, are you comfortable with this transaction?"

BC doesn't seem like the type to be asking Bosh for trade ideas. Its just a matter of courtesy to a franchise player to not blindside them on blockbuster trades, and I'd suspect most GMs in the league do this with marquee players.

blind him like the firing of mitchell? to me it sounds like BC is trying to share his failures with the player who is very likely to leave a lot of fans upset about his departure.

lol Sacramento is worse off than the Raptors? Evans, Cousins, Casspi, Landry, Thompson, Whiteside? I'd trade our entire roster in a flash for those guys straight up. If those guys develop as they're expected and they land a couple of veterans to provide leadership they're going to be awesome.

Consultation with his star player on moves he's going to make shouldn't surprise anyone. I think there was a reason why they went after JO instead of a slasher for a reason.

Anyways, if a TPE comes here, it'd be interesting to see what he could use it for. Could he use that conceivably to go after someone like Amare? Or am I just speculating.

i don't think the TPE is full value of the players contract. the only way we'd get amare is if say chicago, us and the suns worked something out. i don't think it'd work in a separate deal.
