Not to mention going on a Euro barrage in order to appeal to more European fanbase.
The San Antonio Spurs have had various European players star on their teams during Championship runs.

They're actually the best example of how to build a contender every single year without ever having to resort to tanking (contrary to false belief, they never tanked to get Duncan. Like every season they had a good roster, but their 2 best players Robinson and Elliot succumbed to injury).

The Spurs are so excellent because they produce a winning culture, they compete every season. And unlike other teams, they turn their late draft picks into stars and players that can contribute. They don't use their late picks on flawed NCAA players or awkward college projects that other teams with lottery picks skipped out on. They scout international players that already clearly have the skills to play NBA ball.

Man this has been over a year now, and we're still discussing about Bosh leaving? I rmb a few years back when there were a ton of fans who wanted to trade Bosh for Stoudamire. There were a ton of rumours saying that Bosh was going to be traded at the deadline. But it makes things difficult when BC says in interivews that Bosh will not be traded and he is untouchable. Keep in mind, that BC was also hesitant with Bosh saying all these nice things about Toronto making him seem like he decided to stay and accept BCs offer. When in reality he probably already knew where he wanted to go. Guess he didn't want to make him self look bad, but in the end he did with all his nonsense tweeting about "Where to go!"

Had Bosh stayed, there would be no Casey, no Valncunias, and maybe even Davis. We would have yet another 1st round exit if we made the playoffs. And even if we didn't get to trade him, having him leave was for the better for a fresh rebuilt in focusing on trying to pass the 1st round and eventually aiming for the finals and being an elite team

Had we kept Bosh the obvious play would have been to secure a star wing/guard (most likely via trade) to pair with him along with a serviceable C.

If BC thought that that was an impossible task (?) then I agree that letting him move on was the right decision.

Keeping Bosh and expecting him to carry the team alone would have been (and was) an exercise in futility.
