Colangelo: Bosh was cleared to play through ankle injury

BC was on the fan590 tonight and stated that Bosh was cleared to play with his ankle injury, but that it was up to him when it came to the pain threshold and he decided to sit out an extra 6 games.

With Bosh we would've made it to the playoffs, whether the guy was 100% or not! Motherfucker!

Yeah not cool to read but in the end I say its better we ended up with Ed Davis then getting the 8th seed and getting swept by the Cavs in the playoffs.

Kind of feels like too much dirty laundry being aired after the fact.

I would expect this from Gilbert (CLE GM) who acted like a child when Lebron left... but BC?

Unprofessional. And definitely NOT what you want to do to endear yourself to your players in the future.

Oh noes, BC is unprofessional for saying the truth! But Bosh is a professional for speaking the 'truth'?.. Double standards suck dearly.

Either way, I'm happy he didn't play, in hindsight. Davis + 9th place > playoff disappointment.

Yeah, nothing wrong with Bosh saying he has 7yrs to make up for, but this is unprofessional.

Tell me something I didn't know. I always thought Bosh had somewhat of a low pain threshold. Meh, nothing here to see.

Bosh is clearly more professional than BC by participating in an article that Toronto Basketball is a joke, twitter, bringing cameras to private meetings, etc.

I like that he said all of that because it's the truth. And he is not just calling it now that Bosh is gone. He was saying way back plainly "Something is changed and someone has gotten in his ear". He's just expanding on this now.

Further, unlike Gilbert, he is not expressing displeasure at Bosh for leaving, but he is obviously not happy that it appears Bosh did not continue to compete and to lead until the time that he walked out the door. And Colangelo as the GM had better be upset about that and that Bosh may be out there downgrading his franchise.

The only reason Bosh needs to be out downgrading this franchise right now is because he and his amigos are coming off like they are selfish cowards. So Bosh needs to present a case that he had to leave this franchise because it is way north of Siberia.

I said it in a post before, GM's simply HAVE to protect their stars. Bosh ain't Colangelo's issue anymore, so when he gets a question that has a tough answer, he isn't obligated to spin anything anymore.

Why are guys on here so protective of a guy that just turned his back to leave the team they cheer for.

Chris Bosh ain't a raptor, and he ain't your star guy anymore. He's the enemy on an enemy team.

Screw him, and if he doesn't like what he hears tough titties.

If it was the truth then why did he back away from saying that Bosh did not sit out unnecessarily? Why did he actually insist that he wasn't saying that at all? Mr. Forked tongue was at it again.

Note that he's already using Bosh's absence as an excuse. If he could provide some sense of direction for this team, rather than constantly looking for scapegoats, he might get somewhere.

oh good lord stop.

Clearly you don't like Colangelo, everything always goes back to you bitching about him not have a clear plan.

What the fuck, he went to the drawing board and planned plenty of things that Bosh couldnt win with.

Question - Was Bosh cleared to play.
Answer - Yes.

It aint a slight if its the truth.

You talk so much bullshit. BC said that Bosh was cleared to play and Bosh chose not too. End of story. That's the truth. Deal with it.

Bosh participated in an article that undermines Toronto Basketball. Accept it.

Have you been living under a rock? The entire board knows BC plans of getting younger, tougher, quicker and have future cap flexibility. He's getting rid of bad contracts and acquiring contracts that give us space for the future. He wants the team to be athletic and he's targetting a new point guard for the future.

Ask yourself this question....Game 70 of the 2010-11 season, (by some miracle) his new team is in 9th place in the east and he is cleared to play. Does he play? Of course he does.

Unfortunately, that he did not play here in that situation is checking out. If anything, Colangelo could have said plain as day what he and most of us are thinking. I can't call myself a Colangelo fan, but he's obviously not a stupid man, collected all his facts and laid out the findings.
