Colangelo already getting calls about coaching job?

According to Glen Sheiller of The Score who just did a few pieces about the Mitchell firing,BC has received multiple calls about the Head coaching position from agents representing coaches for the job.

I'm guessing some are the usual suspects

Avery Johnson?
PJ Carlisimo?
Flip Suanders?

who else could it be? Hmmmmmmmmm

i think neither will get it, i would love to let jay coach a few games before we begin the countdown on his tenure! i think a lot of people will be surprised when he wins a few games and the guys start to play to the potential we all know they have...

I'll begin cheering against Toronto and moving to Utah where I will continue to cheer for the Jazz.

Stop all this moving talk - haven't you heard we are well into recession?

BC won't rush with the new coach and I highly doubt Avery or Carlesimo are his type of coaches.

BC seems to like guys that can work up tempo like d'antoni, so i think we might see that italian guy here next season.. and maybe Jay will take this team to 50 wins still! one never knows..

Triano was a calculated choice, as he is on contract already. Toronto is NOT adding any new salary. MLSE won't do it, period, epecially with the buck dropping.

Use your Noggins Kids. I can't stress enough to you fello's how much what happens in management and in the Board room affects what you see on the court. This isn't College anymore, it's the Entertainment business, and the latter word will always take precidence.

I agree somewhat with SJ, only I can see a coaching change at the end of the season.

And I fully expect Messina.

Messina as Head Coach and Jay as lead assistant.

well, we can only hope he does better and can turn this team around.. 50 might be a stretch, but i think over .500 is not unattainable with this squad. at least we will have inbound passes soon

no ... he has two more years. And frankly, when your budget is probably around 100 mils, 2-3 millions is not going to make much of a difference. It's a much easier decision than going over the luxury tax, as a matter of fact.

I think a new coach will be here this upcoming season.

Sometimes the gains outway the expenditures
