Sliding 5 to 8 because of a game bites. I was dreaming of the Raptors drafting Beal, but a tier 3 guy like Lamb or Barnes is more likely now.

I was part of the anti-tank crowd. I just find tanking soul-crushing. You watch terrible games only to feel ripped off for not losing games, and then feel gypped when the #10 seed wins the lottery.

I worry about the Raps becoming a perpetual tanking team, but I was surprised that the Raps played with intensity most games this year.

I cant believe we're slated 8th. What a joke.
I should ask the same question of the tankers. So much cheering when we were losing games for what? So that we end up 8th?
I don't ever want to hear about tanking again. What a joke

Exactly.

The Bobcats had a near perfect tank season and yet I doubt they wind up with Davis.

When was the last time this team won a coin toss? In my mind I knew the result even before it was announced. I hope Stern has a hard on for the Raptors during the lottery

Well at least we can have fun guessing who we're going to draft. Andre Drummond!

the victories against Bos and Atl do stick in the throat and since the coin toss it's got me down a bit, but if you're in favour of the raps changing the "culture" as we keep hearing, you can't really complain about them. If you're trying to do that overhaul from last season you can't really compromise, Casey couldn't really say "give this one up guys" after the "pound the rock" mentality all season. it would immediately harm his legitimacy for next season and beyond. Atl and Bos kind of gave us those wins, we just played our normal solid ball.

teams that have tanked in last few years and got what they wanted have often not been able to change that mentality. Washington obviously springs to mind.

i was in favour of trading down when i thought we might get around 5th pick and i still am now really. Even if we miraculously got the 3rd pick there's logic to it. I don't know the lottery players well but everything i've been reading on here and elsewhere shows that it's unpredictable, nobody other than dvais is a surefire success and the draft order differs pretty wildly wherever you look. BC should try and be creative (which i think he will) and we should take a risk (most picks will be a risk,) on someone like perry jones, plus get a nice piece as well.

Perry Jones III - too many attitude problems, questions of maturity, is he a tweener (I think not) + do the raps really need another PF?

If the raps stay at 8 they will most likely select one of Lillard, Marshall or Lamb. Davis, Drummond, Barnes, Robinson, MKG and Beal will be gone. Sullinger will probably be picked too. I think Rivers is ok outside the lottery.

jones would be interesting to look at. he's been stuck playing centre since he's been in college, so he's never really been able to showcase his skillset. i've never heard anything bad about his attitude and he's apparently been in the not so best situation for himself.

I've seen a grand total of about 2 halves of his play. Two games where he didn't really show up, so I don't have much to go on. Do you think he has the ability to play on the wing in the NBA? Specifically, to guard NBA 3's?
