Unhappy CNNSI: Which Offseason Move is Destined to Disappoint?

Let's prove him wrong Hedo.

yeah, just leave out the pistons who spent a fortune on two guys that can't possibly exist with their current roster and that create a situation with no bigs and no flexibility on a team that was always known for its defense. no, that's not likely to disappoint at all...

or a star cavs team that failed to get past the ecf last year and that put all of their eggs into adding an aging big man that clogs up the lane in which their star likes to operate... guaranteed success!

...much better idea to lay it on a team that was terrible last year and just added a big name and 4th quarter go-to guy and a lot of bench depth... much more likely to be disappointing... much more...

SI actually is all that had to be looked at. If they ever had a slightly positive thing to say about the Raptors I'd drop dead in astonishment.

Stupid SI. I hate them and they hate the Raps. Tell them to fuck off and stop writing articles about the Raps cuz sersioualy, they have nothing but bad things to say about them. I have learned that if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it at all those guys should learn that too. Asses

SI once picked the Raptors to be a darkhorse finalist the year after we lost to philly in the 2nd round.... didnt work out so hot. But yea, turk is a super overrated pickup and ppl talking like we are automatically 4th seed now are in for a big disappointment.

... And the more I think about it I'm not sure how many players who are handed $10M/yr are expected to carry their team...Most guys like that are second or third option stars...

The more I think about it, the more I think that Artest is going to struggle in LA. He isnt a spot shooter and in the past few years since that one year he was GIGANTOR in SACtown he thinks hes Reggie Miller out at the 3 pt line. Hes ball dependant and making him a spot up shooter like Ariza was is only going to hurt his game and it doesnt suit his game.

And if you try and make him happy and post him up more than youre not as good as a team as you would be giving Odom Gasol or Kobe the ball.

We'll see how well Artest can adjust next year because I really dont see them trying to cater to him on offence.

I think overall, SAS and ORL are tied for biggest winners so far, and BOS has the chance to overcome them both if they can re sign House and add a really solid SG or SF

Yeah - saying the Lakers were big winners is ridiculous. They still haven't sewn up Odom. They lost a lot of length in Ariza, and that is going to change their defense as much as Artest's needs are going to mess with the offense.

Want to find the move that is destined to disappoint? It always seems to revolve around the move that gets all the praise early on. If we got Turkoglu and were unable to swing the favorable deal with Marion, then I could swallow what this guy says. In the same article the same guy says that the Pistons are rejuvenated. Really?

Once again you have crushed all my hope for the Raps this season. I hope you're happy!

Well we're talking about the biggest disappointment, and it's definitely the Blazers. After flopping in the playoffs, they were expected to make a move that will make them a solid contender in the West. They almost had Turkey in the bag, but that got away. By the time that happened, most of the key free agents have been courted by other teams. And right now as we speak the Roy negotiations aren't going that well. Terrible offseason for what was once the most promising team in the league.

At least ugo makes sense. He says Hedo will amount to nothing. This McCallum dude says Hedo will be great and the Raps will still suck. That seems like a bit of an odd stance to say the least.

Yep - saying he'll have a productive season is the same thing as saying that he was a super overrated pickup. It's the same thing obviously. I'm sure what he really means is that they should have gotten a free agent who promised to have an unproductive season. There's the ticket!

Scoring is not the most important thing he does at the 3 anyway.
