Because I sure do. And that's not even getting into his defensive deficiencies which will still be glaring regardless.

I'm sorry... I just can't see the upside anymore.
you give up on him when the cost of keeping him becomes a burden. we're dead in the middle of a terrible season where we are completely rebuilding and we don't have enough talent to do anything. that's not a good time to just throw in the towel. if the right offer comes, you consider it, but you don't just throw him out the door. there's just no reason to do that at all.

i'm not going to go back into all teh stuff i've previously written about his defense or his rebounding and the need to have complimentary players. it's all easily findable on this site. all i'm saying is that we're in the perfect situation to keep bargs. it's just not aburden at all to have him on the team while we assemble other pieces. i have nothing against moving him for the right parts, but there's no reason at all to just get rid of him.

"No disrespect to Chris, but Chris don't talk. He don't talk. He's like ... he don't talk. He don't. He don't talk. I just said he don't talk. That's all I'm saying. He don't talk," Evans, the Toronto Raptors' gruff, fountain-of-truth power forward said Tuesday. "Would he talk on the court? Yeah, he talked on the court. But you're speaking of the locker room. He don't talk.
So Chris doesn't talk?

You're a voice of reason in a world full of blindly-hating Bargnani haters.

Wait a minute.....this thing has swerved off the tracks.

Wasn't it Chris Bosh who said he wanted to be the man ? How are you going to sit around saying nothing when you are the supposed captain of the team then?

And yes, you had better be able to say something in a normal circumstance as a captain, especially in a fractured room if you are going to call yourself the man. And no team I have been on has had an invisble/unheard captain. You will cease to be the captain because someone else will likely fill that void.

Reggie didn't say Chris Bosh was evil. And not being a good leader does not make him evil. But who can say they knew he had a sock in his mouth when he was with his team?

He could have been a better leader. But it's hard to say that he absolutely did not lead, or was just completely silent, or somehow made for a dysfunctional group.

What really grabbed me about Reggie's comments was his vowing for the chemistry on this current roster. That would seem to be born out in the way they handle themselves, and it is certainly a real positive. It is the chemistry on the court that really matters though. If you want to make a guy captain and give him a whole different group every year and think he needs to make a different group coalesce quickly off the court and on the court every year, then you aren't going to find a lot that don't come up short.

I just hope the chemistry they have now becomes something that effects a culture that can be built upon. Otherwise it really doesn't mean all that much at the moment.

Just don't tell me that "we should cut him some slack because he's not a franchise player"... or because he's getting paid X amount of dollars.

Think back over the last 20 games or so that the Raps have played and tell me ONE thing that Bargs contributes to this team other than shooting the long ball. Tell me what he does to help us win games.

Anyone can jump in here.... doesn't even have to be you.

I think guys just tend to do what he says so they don't have to listen to him complain about things.

Like I said, Phil, is the leader of that team. You can see it. You can hear it.
