the fact that east is lousy may have all sorts of unintended consequences, on one hand, some teams that would have tanked, may suddenly develop an interest in winning. On the other hand, some teams may be in the opposite situation. If Milwaukee start to consider tanking, they may put players like mayo/knight/ilyasova or even sanders on the table. With guys like afflalo and turner having great seasons, our wings are harder and harder to move period.
There used to be a time when we were concerned about not selling guys for cheap, we may get to a point where the concern is not being able to move them at all ...

Is there a team who would want Pau and have something descent to send back? I was trying to think of a 3 team trade, sending Rudy to LA, Pau somewhere else and bringing assets back to us. In theory it's all good but Gasol's salary is a killer.. OKC would be great fit for him imo can't work out the trade though. Maybe Houston?

If MU seriously thinks winning the shittiest division with a sub-.500 record is a good idea I'm not sure he's better than BC.

there were stronger statements, especially from TL and especially in the beginning. They toned it down after, while I liked TL's approach, I wasn't a big fan of making that public, I bet MU wasn't terribly happy about it. No point in advertising you're a seller - remember the offer we got from detroit for gay shortly after?

you mean Ilyasova+Butler+Henson for Gay - would be crazy if MIL take this

Combining Henson with any of Butler or Ilyasova will not work

Btw, if Rose is done for the season and we look to trade Lowry Chicago would likely be interested. That's if they decide to still try for a playoff run.

i've look at this on trade machine and the only way it will work salary wise is lowry+fields for deng+bulls 1st rounder, deng is also on his last year

another which i think bulls wouldn't do is lowry+field for noah

Denver never tanked when they traded Carmelo. This team is starting to get together. It is top 10 in opponent scoring (ppg) and is now middle of the pack in scoring. They are sharing the ball, Lowry has 37 assists and 6 TO in the last four games. As compared to previous years, when they were not getting calls or the other team made several runs, the team would fold. This team fights back. This team will above .500 and make the playoffs.

Lowry and Amir for Noah. Lol Fields. Just trying to make it more realistic. Also - KL - playing well but you have to either deal him or extend him.

Indeed. I still don't think they'd do it because of KL expiring but they would save some money from Noah's contract leaving. Raps would have to deal RG or DD to get a PG from somewhere. Noah + JV = drool worthy I think TH would have to be added in there probably.

Funny you say that, because this team mirrors BC's inherited team from his first year.

- Executive of the Year hired in the off season. Known for building a fast paced successful Western Conference team (Masai, BC). Hell, they both worked together.

- Savvy yet unremarkable moves made by both that were praised in the off season BC: (Anthony Parker signing, Bargnani draft, Rasho pickup, etc.). Masai: (Bargnani trade, Hansborough pickup, etc.)

- An Eastern conference in disarray with only a select few dominant teams and A LOT of bad teams 2007: Detroit, a declining Miami Heat, and a Lebron-led Cleveland. 2013: Indiana, a Lebron-led Heat, and a sputtering Chicago

- A piss poor Atlantic division that the Raptors could very well win with a mediocre squad and a mediocre to bad coach who preaches effort and defense 2007: Raptors 47-35, Smitch COY. 2013: Raptors leading the Atlantic, Dwane pounding the rock.

This is the nightmare scenario folks. Everything that the people on this board who were rational and logical (the pro-tankers) warned of. Masai could very well be another MLSE shill, unwilling to tinker with a team that could slouch into the playoffs and make them some cash. A team with very little upside, that will flounder into a borderline 9th seed in a more competitive East.

I hope I'm wrong, I really do hope, but things are looking dark right now. I don't trust any of the rats in the management positions of this organization.
