I thought it was a good article.

I figured that this Raps season would be a 180 degree turn from the "no defense - look at me" basketball that he played all summer, and it would take Demar a while to get adjusted.

I think in the preseason he had an 8 rebound game, and he's had a couple of 6 rebound games, but I still think he wishes he played for a "run and gun" team. I don't think Demar has ever shown a lot of enjoyment from playing defense that I could see. The slow 1/2 court offense is probably discombobulating Demar too.

Its been 11 games, give the kid a break, he has time to develop, and its a total different system now. He's never played under Casey, and now he's got a chance to improve his game, but hes got to capitalize, we got time my friends, its only been 1/6 of the season

Demar is on a slump but once he breaks out of it he'll be scoring more frequently; he's just taking the wrong approach on scoring. If his jumper not going in then go to the basket.

I've always like DD .. Good, kid, attitude, work ethnic, etc ... But the crap of his extraordinary athletic abilities has always been over rated.

He is still very young and is clearly still learning the game. I will be happy if he can demonstrate the abilities to be a legit starter .. First on an average team, then on a contender. This season will prove if he can make the progress .... Hope he does ... I don't think he will ever be a star ... Never have. ..

Hope I'm wrong for raptor land

They are on this board, made by certain posters. I am not trying to cast out the entire forum. But the argument has been made here.

instead of the traditional sophmore slump, demar actually made an incredible improvement. now he's going thru a "junior" slump. just switching years, no big deal in my opinion

If it was the truth he wouldn't be where he is.

Good quote from Casey, far more realistic concerning Derozan's offensive struggles.

Quote:
"[DeMar] and Andrea have the respect of the league," Raptors rookie head coach Dwane Casey said. "[DeMar] has to learn how to play against a man and a half, not only just his guy."
People only bitch about his defense because they need something to bitch about.

some bitch about his offense, which has been bad.

His usage is up from last year and his overall offensive rating is down.

His defensive rating has improved from last season, he still isnt where he needs to be defensively but at least team isnt as bad with him on the floor this year on that end of the court as last year.

Bipolar people here raise your hands? Wtf... he's not worse than weems and he's not the second coming of christ. He is, and always has been so far, an average wingman, it's just some of you crazy people keep swinging so far to each direction. He needs to improve, simple as that, and it's not a given that he is going to.

i dont care to predict the future, maybe he's just slumping. fact is, the guy playting two for toronto, over the last 4 games or so has been by far the worst SG in basketball. I'm sorry, he does nothing of value right now.

Defend it all you want, but I don't need a fucking analysis to tell you what I'm watching on the floor...he's fucking terrible lately.

AND, isn't his contract extension yera this year???? GOOD.

We pay him what he's worth and lock him in a 1.5 million a years for the next 7.

THATS how ya play GM...hahaha
