DeMar DeRozan will start at SG because he was drafted to fill that hole.
Jay and BC see this as are best line up. Jose, DeMar, Turk, Bosh, Bagnani.
So it is his job to loose. Delfino and Wright will come off the bench to back
up Hedo and DeRozan.

the best place for rozan is the starting lineup where he will benefit for the presence of the other 4 starters who will attract a lot of attention.

and good teams don't always start their best players at all positions, like ginobili in sa and odom in LA. Even lee in Orlando, you could easily argue that pietrus was the better player.

convinced that Raptors fans are only happy when they're unhappy.

Good point .... I never thought of it that way. Alot less pressure if he plays with the starting unit as opposed to playing with the 2nd one.

I think too many people are putting stock into summer league, a league where every player turns into a black hole on offense.

Roko's actually played alright and his jumper *gasp* has improved. Douby's been looking to get his every posession. He's fighting for his NBA life so I don't blame him.

But really guys, after so much criticism Joey got for his summer league MVP play, we're jumping on guys who may not be preforming.

I suggest, y'know, watching the games.

And simply saying Roko sucks, because he sucks is hilarious. Beyond having a piss poor jumper, he does alot of things really well.

yes he does... he can handle the ball and pass... and last time i checked, that was part of a PG's job, even if he is coming off the bench...

Face it, as much as you all dont like Roko, hes still better than Adams or Solomon...

Point guards seem to produce strong feelings among Raptors' fans. Some liked TJ so much, they are now obsessed with trying to find faults in Calderon. Others didn't like Roko's first season to a point where he could do nothing right as far as they are concerned.

Personally, I'd like to see him improve as a third-stringer behind Caldy and Jack this season before considering an assessment. How many of you remember Jose's first season here? And he was way more accomplished than Roko back then...

Seriously, that's getting old...

He'll never be anywhere near what Calderon is.
