![]() On this trip the franchise is supposedly taking to Disneyland in the coming years, Ujiri is at the wheel of the RV. But the state troopers, the wife, the kids, everyone is demanding. Realizing that there may be only one chance to drive this thing, he has to make sure he has all the right passengers.
If you're noisy, flatulent (Rudy), You wander away (Kyle), lazy (Bargs), dead weight (Gray) you don't get to come along. However, if Megan Fox wants to come along on the trip, you let her have one of you're kids' seats. (Demar) Point I'm making is Ujiri has to know he can't blow it and therefore has to make move after careful move that only increases talent and flexibility. But some players have made it known early that they could stall the trip to Disneyland. Some of these passengers on board right now are random strangers. They are seat-warmers for players who are actually coming along. Seems to me more like a go-with-the-flow in the sense that he is making opportunistic moves as he figures out who is coming along. Problem is most of us think a drawn out OKC tank gets it done, but so likely will a multi-pronged approach of high pick(s), opportunistic trades, moving assets for known commodities and smart spending. This is in contrast to trying your best to squeak by with bandaids. Remember also that TL said Ujiri's team tried desperately to deal their way into LAST year's draft. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't try to be big players in this draft. |

![]() Instead of just calling him a donkey, say what's actually wrong with that statement. Demar is good, but not so great that he can destroy a tank singlehandedly, therefore we don't need to rush to trade him. Pretty accurate.

![]() I agree with Koolaid. ATM he's not an all-star franchise player. He can be a good player on a terrible team, such a bad team that the tank still rolls even with such a good SG.
Kinda like OJ Mayo, Evan Turner, Shumpert, and other good SGs on terrible teams. |

No, he's not a franchise talent, but it's silly to imply that losing him wouldn't matter. |

![]() I never said it wouldn't matter. All i'm saying is he's not a franchise player. And imo we should at the very least explore deals for him. Lord knows, people will make offers, doesn't hurt to listen and if MU sees a deal he likes go for it. All this depends on what kind of team Ujiri wants and if players like DD/AJ fit that. It would be hard to see Demar go, great work ethic and he wants to win here, loves the city. But he's not untouchable.

![]() Yeah, i wouldn't trade him unless you get a good package in return. He's our best asset right now other than JV who is doubtful to be traded so you don't trade him for the sake of making a trade.
