I don't know about that. The top 5-6 are pretty much a given it would seem.....then there's the rest.

1. Irving
2. Williams

After that...Walker, Knight, Kanter in whatever order.

I don't think that's for certain until the workouts. Kanter especially will need to prove something in the workouts.

Also, guys like Vesely, Valanciunas, Motiejunas and Biyombo could impress to the point that they could change where they're picked drastically. Especially Biyombo and Valanciunas, because there are always teams are willing to gamble on centers with upside.

ur seriously misinformed if you think Bargnani was a bust. sure he wasnt the best in that draft but definitely not bust material. a guy that can score 21 in this league a night is value, especially at a pf position..

Look where his 'value' got us, being one of the worst teams in the NBA. I don't care if he scores 20 PPG, if he can't play defense then he is useless. Let him jack up shots on another team and go 5-25 every other game.

your bias towards a player should not affect your ideas on him, positive or negative. yes he has negatives, which are much more evident considering his situation. but look at the positives with an open mind as well. when his head is in the game, the man is near unstoppable. he has one of the best shot fakes in the game, a deadly midrange game and can hurt you from the outside. he can take you on the dribble if you hug him too tight and slam it in ur face. and if all else fails, when he tries, hes pretty dominent in the post thanks to his length. therefore he is definitely not a useless player. sure hes not elite, great, say what you will but dont undercredit a player. he should be respected for whagt he does right as well. you're a knowledgeble poster but things like these sometimes really get under my skin.

Playing in the NCAAs and playing in the NBA are 2 entirely different things.

No doubt he has talent... I just hope that he has the lateral quicks to keep up DEFENSIVELY as well. No point getting him if he's just going to be a SF version of Bargs.... dropping 20 pts/gm and giving up 30.

Williams will be able to defend NBA small forwards.....

like DD, he's supremely athletic, and i'd say has even better tools than derozan to be a great defensive player. it just comes down to whether or not the coaching staff in place can get these guys to buy into a defensive mindset.

it's easy to say you hope a guy turns out to be a good defensive player, of course you want him to be a good defensive player. if you knew ahead of time a guy was going to be a net -15 on the floor for his career then you don't draft him. you just hope he's willing to put the work in.

If that's the case then that's great. I haven't seen much of him at all... all I've heard is that he might be a "tweener".

If he's got good quicks and the length then I'm more than happy to consider him a top pick.

Williams seems to be a decent player and will probably be a legit starter some day, but Griffin like? He doesn't even come close to the power and explosiveness of Griffin.

How so? From your first comment it leads me to believe you know nothing about Williams to begin with. Williams has as much power and explosiveness you can get.

Ummm... those are some BIG, big words right there.... if he were that promising I think he'd be the clear undisputed #1 pick though.

Williams is very athletic but he doesn't quite have the same hops as Griffin. Blake seems to jump even higher now than he did when he was drafted. To his credit, though, Williams has a more polished offensive game. And that's what you'd expect from a guy who claims he can play the 3.

I wouldn't mind getting him but really if we have the chance to take the next Chris Paul, how can we pass it up. Besides I don't like tweeners its like they always have potential but never reliase it.

If Colangelo thinks Jose and Bayless are our future answers at PG then he's smoking off a crack pipe.
