Chad Ford: Bulls/Raps could make a deal
Don't like this idea. Would any of you do this?
Isn't he about to have surgery? And he's owed 27.6Mil over the next 2yrs. Quote:

It's not terrible but not great. I like Deng but he's not as good as the others we've been discussing. I'd also like it more if we could flip one of our many SF-PF players.

He's an awesome player. Not a super star but a good piece to the puzzle. He would fit in quite nice. Would BC make that trade with the uncertainty at PG? We would have to have another Pg coming in.

Oh F off. Are we going to keep making the same mistakes? I know Deng is not Jermaine O'Neal - but the similarities are there. Good, solid vet - but injury prone and on the backslide. Sure he had a great year last year, but I'd rather have taken a chance on Hibbert (would have paid off), and would rather take a chance on Lillard/Waiters/Lamb/etc.
And so we get Deng. Then what? We have a good third option veteran on a team bound for the lottery again (Unless JV comes in as the second coming of Christ). Snore. Who cares. Waste of cap space. |

I am not a fan of this deal as well. I am sure there are better options out there. Especially when we are trading a very solid point guard who came back from almost getting traded and gave us two great years of playing.

Dragic Derozan Deng Bargs Valanciunas That is a better balanced starting 5 on both ends of the floor. Would it be my first choice, no. But is it my least favourite choice, certainly not. |

I think the diff between the 8th and 29th is just a bit too much.... I'd rather do Ed and Jose and exclude both picks but obviously Chitown isn't needing Taj point negative 0h!

Uhhhh.... in 4 out of the last 5 seasons he's avgd close to 9 assists/gm and been at (or near) the top of the league in asst/TO ratio.
You've got a sample size of nearly 300 games as a starter compared to 36 for Dragic. Come back to earth Jeff... you may not care for Jose's style of play, but let's no get carried away here. |

What is Ford thinking? The Raps are going to give cap AND a lottery pick for a broken down wing? Ludicrous - getting paid by the Bulls on the sly.
