Espn's bucher said today that without the buyout risk, he would have been #1 in the draft.

Heart player. Sure. So was Mateen Cleaves and where did he end up?

If JV doesn't have this whole buy out issue, he goes top 3. I've watched some vid of the guy today, and he knows how to play. He's just 19, but how many kids are strong at 19? I don't think some of you guys realize how much of a steal this pick really was.

Great post Claudius. :yeah: Basically what I would say but since you already said it I will just quote it. :D

Meh, Brandon Knight could be a headcase. The fact that he wanted to protect his stock and not go up against other players bugged me. If you're as good as you think you are, show what you got against other players and not just chairs.

And yes, you're right. But you're looking at this from a completely negative perspective rather than having any sense of optimism.

Kyrie Irving, Derrick Williams could be busts too. What's your point?

At the end of the day, it's all about looking at the player and saying, can he play basketball? If so, then you have to trust your coaching staff to make him into a player. That's where Casey gets paid and the training staff. Take this player, and make him into what he's supposed to be.

And if Kemba turns into Jameer, I'd be happy we don't have him. Jameer is not a good PG. He's a good a player, but I wouldn't want to have him running my team.

It's given us an asset....Would you rather have had Adam Morrision? Tyrus Thomas?

Bargs may be a horrible defender, but if in the right offensive system could be very effective.

The draft is all about netting a player who can produce. The list is longer of guys who have been drafted and are no longer in the league than guys who get drafted and become rotation players.

Superjudge 06-24-2011 03:04 PM

yep... but I learn from my mistakes.

there was no need for aldridge at the time cuz we had bosh. waste of a number 1 pick when your franchise player plays PF. and look where roy is now. There was always speculation about his knees, and portland are now in a huge hole

You're right anyone can be a bust, I just think JV has more bust potential than kemba or knight. You can't always make a player into something you want if he doesn't have it or want it, your not blaming JT for barg shortcomings are you? as for jameer he's a contributor, he competes, he makes a team better, he'll have a solid career. whoever it is that we draft if that's all we could say about them, then that's ok, i hope we can say that about JV i just don't think we will

CBS Sports have the worst analysts

Yeah, worse than ESPN's

One of their comedians wrote an article about Tim Duncan not being top 10 all-time :confused2:

Really?
