This guy gave the 76ers an "F" for taking Vucevic. That dude may never become anything special, but he is a monster sleeper. In this weak of a draft, using a mid-round pick on Vucevic was a good gamble. Furthermore, he fills Philly's fucking need!

His perception of the Raptors pick is not the only aspect of his analysis that is suspect.

Why all the hate. From everything I heard yesterday, we just drafted Arvydys Sabonis part II. Add him to Dirk Nowitski part II that we drafted a few years ago and we should have a sick front court.

How did that Nowitski thing work out again?

In all seriousness, It's immensely difficult to like this pick. Even if you ignore the fact that he is a rail thin center who is highly unlikely to ever be a defensive presence in the middle and is far more likely to tandem with Bargnani some day to become the softest front court in the history of the NBA, you can't ignore that this guy won't play a game for us next year.

Is this team really telling fans that after suffering through a 22 win season, that they are spending their 5 pick on a guy who wont help the team at ALL next year (assuming there is a next year anyway) when there were 2 solid point guards at your spot that would have filled a big need?

Great analysis.
And, IIRC, Marshon Brooks was traded to New Jersey. Boston was given a "B" for picking him to fill a need, even though they flipped him?

The dude was grading those picks at the time of the pick was made.

Live draft analysis by NBA writer Dave Del Grande

That is why you don't see him talk about all the trades. He graded those off his reaction as soon as they were made.

His views on the Tyreke Evans pick are particularly telling, at least in my opinion. Jay Bilas said many good things about that pick and claimed that Evans could end up being the second best player in that draft (after Griffin). Of course, Evans went on to win ROY.

The more I read about Jonas the more I like him. He's not the typical 'euro', he's tough and willing to bang. When he gets some more meat on his bones he can def be a good centre for us

Raps got him for the future, so they will probably address more needs for this team during the off-season..

Except the worst grade there is C-, which in reality just means he was being nice.

According to his grading system

A = good obvious pick
B = Really, Why? but fine w/e
C = You fail
C- = I'm being nice you retards.

Seriously if they want to grade effectively, none of this B-/C- crap.
Give out Ds/Fs.

Kemba is a future back up PG. There's no way I would hand the keys of an offence to him. No way.

Heart player. Sure. So was Mateen Cleaves and where did he end up?

If JV doesn't have this whole buy out issue, he goes top 3. I've watched some vid of the guy today, and he knows how to play. He's just 19, but how many kids are strong at 19? I don't think some of you guys realize how much of a steal this pick really was.

like i said i'm not a big fan, I prefer knight, but the chances of jv ended up like alex rado (1999 raps 12th pick) is just as high as kemba ended up like mateen, kemba more like jameer nelson i think
