When I was looking at some news at ole.clarin.com, Argentina's best newspaper/site of sports, I saw an small arcticle about Delfino. It was posted about one hour ago
They're even talking about at 56M offer, but Toronto would have to give up Carlos Delfino, Shawn Marion and Anthony Parker. It seems like it's too much. From Toronto some people ensure delfino's comeback to the NBA, what could be done in the next hours. I think it's a good start (these bball guys from Ole are very trustful, they were the first to publish Delfino's contract with Khimki). Then we should re-sign Marion and: 1st - trade Bosh for Lee, Chandler or somebody else (they have some good energy guys) 2nd - If we can't get that deal done, we should go for some of the SF FA's, like Kleiza, Barnes, or try to trade for a guy like Kelena Azubuike |

Good stuff. I was really wrong about Delfino before he left. He was a big part of the teams success that year. A guy like him(or Posey/Ariza, that type of player) is huge for any team. His shooting, rebounding, and defending was sorely missed. Looking forward to the 28 footers Carlos! We'll live with them.

I'm not even joking even though I sort of worded it like I didnt mean it. Carlos is a very solid bench guy even if he does take dumb shots sometimes. Intangibles are huge, and Carlos provides em.

Sometimes he just has too many intangibles. If he could whittle them down a bit it would be terrific, and that will all be about having the right role and sticking with it. No matter what, his rebounding will be there, along with the chucking, which is not always bad.

I'm with you guys. He was underrated because he had off nights but kept shooting..which annoyed some people. He'll be a good guy to have off the bench and should see decent minutes and even close out some games depending on the final roster.

I'm kind of a big deal.

I'm not surprised the Raptors couldn't land him though... It seemed like a major reach to get him anyway, this might be for the better. |

I think signing Delfino is a great move, but I'm getting nervous about our starting Small Forward situation. If true Artest has is going to LAL and Hedo To Portland that only leaves Ariza as the most prominent SF I hope that doesn't turn into a bidding war with some other team over him.
The other thing that worries me is Dan Fegan Marions agent, he did the same to the Cavaliers a couple of seasons ago when he had Varejao and Pavlovic hold out on the team until a couple of months after the seasons stated. I hope BC is aware of this issue. |
