CB4 on the Fan this morning

Here's a quick summary via RealGm poster:

-most of the interview was about his work in South Africa

-Bosh explained how they were visiting an orphanage w/children with AIDS

-said it was a great experience, etc etc

-was asked about working out and said that this is the hardest he's worked during the off season. now he can bang with the bigs (think that was a quote)

-asked about the extension/re-signing and said that "BC" made some great moves during the summer, the team now has great depth from 1-10. said other GMs were putting all their eggs in the 2010 basket and wasting 2 seasons in doing so, but BC made his moves to win now

-said the team will get its points but has to work hard on D and at rebounding. Triano showed him a stat as to how the top 4 rebounding and D teams make it to the quarter finals. D wins championships and the Raptors better improve on that

-was asked about re-signing and to handicapp his chances of signing an extension. Bosh didn't answer that directly, but said he wants to win a championship and the direction Toronto moves in this season will determine his choices

-wants to play in a city he is comfortable in and likes, and so far that's Toronto

-signed an extension to put himself in a position to fulfill his plan (which i assume refers to playing with a winner and getting max money) and he will see out his plan

He sounds motivated to try. Might be a little early for this but I think we can make it to the second round of the playoffs!

no, i think if we get in a 7 game series in the first round and get booted in the 7th game. but, it's really tight. i think he'll re-sign.

basically, we have to not get creamed in the playoffs.

He has to feel like he can be an even more effective player while making a well-balanced team better in every respect. There's not many places where he's going to have that chance, and get the extra dough. But he has to see the possibility, and he has to seize that opportunity. For good or for ill, it will be a mutually rewarding season, or result in a mutual parting.

It's good to hear that he's working out with the intention of banging with the bigs as he put it. I think that's going to be one of the keys for them to win more games. I think he needs to get physical.

Bosh's number 1 responsibility will be to get us far into the playoffs, If we miss on that and he bolts...he's to blame as much or MORE than anyone..

Big money ==== Big performance.
He has gotten his wish..a better team...NOW it's time to put up or shut up.

no, i think if we get to the championship finals win the first 3 easy but lose all our starters to injury and our first 5 off the bench then banks, weems, douby, pob, and Amir start each of the next four games losing by 1 point in the dying seconds every time. i think he won't resign. not good enough he'll say. Sounds like he wants to go and making an excuse for that which is 'to win a championship'. Translating this, I understand he expects to play along with Lebron or D-Wade after next summer. But things may change quite a bit next season and change his mind too.

P.S: I don't think I like Benzo's right wing propaganda avatar. It's disrespectful and inadequate. Yes, it is out of topic but he brought it up by displaying that rubbish here at this forum.

CB needs to perform. Plain and simply! Banging with the bigs? not sure! we shall see... he is 6' 10" and if he truly has grown to about 250 pounds then he will have the strength to not take the pounding that wears him out every march!

as i see it, there is still a lot more pressure on him to perform than on BC to offer!

do it and shut up already!

I don't like your Barginani Avatar, its disrespectful to all the countries and cities that Rome annihilated over the better part of 3 centuries.

It called freedom of expression dicky, if its "right wing" its propaganda, if its "left wing" its courage. Mind your own business.

Feel free to move these 2 post to the podium fellas.

that trip to africa is gonna make Bosh feel depressed. A lot of stuff you see there just hits you. I hope it doesn't affect him a lot for the season.

It's Sputh Africa, it's developed. You think they'd be sending a bunch of NBA superstars to a place where they don't have TVs or any technology like Ethiopia or something?
