The Cavs tried to sign Parker in the summer of 2006 when he came back from playing overseas, but were out-bid by Toronto. The only downside is he'll he 34 on June 19. But he's considered a durable player who has missed only two games in the last two seasons.

Meh, he only disappointed in the last season. We need some fresh legs man.

As much as i like AP, i wouldn't mind this at all. The fact is with Delfino coming in and our possibility of picking a SG at the draft and BC saying he wants to uprade at the 2 spot and wants to pick up a backup PG. It's almost a given he won't be back imo.

Belsius 06-08-2009 12:43 PM

Since when have you liked AP Jeff? Maybe Im wrong but werent you the one that constantly ripped him?

I ripped his play most of the season, especially the first 3 months as did many here.I've said several times though that i like AP, but that he was pretty much done. As a person, he's a class act. But as a player his best days are well behind him. And if we were to keep him it should be off the bench. But i don't think it'll be with us.

Belsius 06-08-2009 12:49 PM

Umm, that sounds like revisionist history to me. ;)

And you seem bored?

I often said all season that i liked AP but.... He's done or he sucks. I don't know how anyone can't like AP as a person, it goes without saying. The fact is though i was ripping his play. Because imo he's done, other then being a role player off the bench.

I like Parker.

Delfino and Parker are a wash. If we're picking up Delfino, this won't matter. If Delfino slips through the cracks, this would hurt our depth.

Barracuda 06-08-2009 01:46 PM

If we get Delfino AND Parker, then at least the Raps would have a larger female audience.... ;)

Acie 06-08-2009 01:49 PM

Larger female audience?

Like bigger girls? :giggle:

yeah, hoops will be picking up season's tix!

its_asdf 06-08-2009 01:55 PM

Couldn't care less. He definitely declined a lot this season... He was missing the shots that he could make in his sleep 2 seasons ago and it seemed like he went away from being more of an all around perimeter to just an off the dribble fadaway jumpshooter. Personally I thought that when Parker was clicking on all cylinders and mixing it up on both ends of the court that the Raptors were playing some of their best basketball last season. Sadly he never really broke out of the slump.

..Then knowing the good 'ol Raptor luck he'll start averaging 20 points per game after he leaves the team.

Hoops wll be arrested each game for disorderly conduct....

Barracuda 06-08-2009 02:06 PM

Oh my.

I suppose larger girls WOULD be a good thing.. aren't they looking to...uh... fill seats? In that case, the larger the better!

MangoKidHoops 06-08-2009 02:07 PM

Only if she has a pretty face will she get the attention.

Acie 06-08-2009 02:11 PM

A cheek a seat though...that'll cut attendance by half, no?

'trane 06-08-2009 02:13 PM

i have a theory that this is exactly why they have immovable armrests...

Barracuda 06-08-2009 02:13 PM

True enough...

Ok, scratch that then. Delfino and Parker will attract MORE chicks. Not necessarily larger ones, although they are allowed too.

Does that work?
