Default Casey's democracy

Early on, Casey said that their offense was not a democracy. They would get the ball into the hands of their scorers, Andrea and Demar.

With Andrea out and Demar's offense just a rumor, what priority would you give to shooters/playmakers on offense now?

I would say in order:

Barbosa
Bayless
Calderon
Kleiza
Derozan

hahahaa.

In my Democracy Bayliss isn't really allowed to play, let alone shoot.

I'd play Forbes

Has Forbes shown he can hit a shot in anything other than in games against Canada? Dude looks weak and slow.... not impressed.

Looks like it's gotta be Barbosa, Jose, Kleiza, JJ, DD.

To answer your actual post...

I like Letting Jose go for 30.... Free reign, pop off the high screen and just jack the shit out of it all day.

then Kleiza, then barbosa...who cares after that.

Barbosa gets his anyow so you dont have to run anything, he actually makes cuts.

LK can shoot well.

Jose a bit better.

Can't say I'd include JJ if I needed to put pressure on a defense, or at least to be able to bail himself out with a pass. I'd be afraid something silly might happen.

Barbosa
Jose <------------ needs to take 12+ shots per game
Derozan
Kleiza
Bayless

Everyone else stay the fuck away from the ball on offense.

Barbosa is the only guy on this team who`s a natural scorer and the ability to attack the rim at will. DeMar SHOULD be that next guy, but god knows with that kid. He`s playing confused out there (doesn`t know when to shoot and when to drive). Jose, I don`t need shooting more. He`s shooting the right amount (he shouldn`t just walk up the court and jack it). In fact, he`s gotta get DeMar going and get the ball to him the right spots.

I dunno Im confused lol, wat i mean is barbosa can't be top priority at the start of the game and he hasn't been there at the end of games for defense.Your number 1 guy shouldn't be on the bench

Just to be clear, Casey's comments were regarding the fourth quarter. I would imagine he woulld be pretty happy with the sort of ball movement displayed by the Nuggets. Unfortunately there are not a lot of players that appear capable of executing within the random offense Casey has in mind. It really doesn't matter so much what order you want to put people in. He is going to need an overhaul of the roster.

I'm sorry but Demar is cock-eyed right now. Don't even know what he's shooting at.

Not writing him off. Remember he was called a bust by many in his first year when he needed to adjust. He can still re-adjust to a new system and new demands.

I'm still all in for the tank, but other guys have got to get the ball in their hands more until he figures out which way is up.

I should also say time will be needed along with a roster overhaul. DeMar can make use of that time, and time will tell whether he is able to, or becomes part of the overhaul.

Why is DeRozan allowed to shoot but JJ doesn't? Quite frankly, James Johnson has looked much better than him lately. I am beginning to really like JJ.

we miss AB, DD struggles hard on O, bayless just got back, Kleiza just got back after one year.
4/6 your scorer player are out right now.
you can run whatever you want, if they don't shoot well no coach can run an offense.
part of the problem seems to me coming from caldy.
he has that habit to give the ball at bad times. yes he is a great passer. But casey seems to want more from him, that he act more quickly in transition; that he shows some agressivity on running the show.
if the rumor of Caldy trade come right now, it's because of that, and the fact that he has some value right now.
so when you get a pg whom don't force himself, and can penetrate the D, open space for other, then we will have a flow offense.
this same offense Dallas use. but remember who kidd is, and barea with is penetration nobody can't stop last season.
that make a big difference.

and another thing about the offense. last game kleiza play in place of barg, the same system than bargs. but you an't ask one player to be like the other, without the size and the ball handling abilities. so that don't work out. what a surprise ? but in 2 or 3 games kleiza will produce, and so he will bring to him more attension on D, then create space for other.

two problem a lack of work all together, without injure player, and a pg who isn't good for this offense.
i don't say good enough, but i would say casey don't want him to run the show, and bayless isn't ready.

change that, and this team can win, score and will defend.

I agree that a different style of point guard would be helpful, but only if this is a high level player. Addressing PG seems like something Colangelo would do in a strong way. But I don't see that guy in the draft and I don't see that guy (young guy) available in free agency. So if he's going to do it via trade, it's going to hurt. Teams aren't going to give up the guy that is driving the engine for our spare parts.

I still have more confidence in DD than JJ on offense. He is a siv on offense most nights, out of control + turnovers and a couple decent performances won't change that. He shows flashes here and there but that's it.

Derozan can't shoot. His form is effin terrible and I'm sorry, it's that fact that ensures that he will never, ever be a consistat threat to shoot the ball. He can't drive, and he's a weak passer....soooo there goes your triple threat, and there goes your 2 guard.

Please trade him while he hasn't been totally found out yet.
