You dig?
he has soft hands and lately has shown to be able to use his size to get low post position. while he's there him scoring 50 percent of the time against a below average post defender who's 2 inches shorter than him isn't hard to fathom is it?

I'd still put Amir Johnson out on the floor to cover Beasley.

even when we're up by 15 and we can't get in the playoffs anyways? if we had a shot then yeah 100 percent, but even amir didn't play all that much.

Unless I'm totally out to lunch, it was the early in the 2nd quarter and the lead was 6.

I like TR but oh my when he's been on the court (however sporadically, randomly or little it's been) he's played bad. Apparently:

Terrence Ross has a PER of 0.92 since the All-Star break (10.61 before).

Say what you will about ED but whenever that guy stepped on the court he was productive- rookie, sophomore and 3rd season.

Over at RealGM where that was reported, the majority of the board was adamant that Ross would be starting at SG by all-star break over Derozan. What a bunch of morons over there.

Ross has been a huge disappointment, but Casey definitely has to share some of the blame. His minutes have been all over the place. I wish we could have kept Davis over Ross myself. I just don't think we need a SG now more than a good young PF.

The only thing TR has going is that he has 3 more years on the rookie contract while ED only has one. TR has been chosen ahead of ED and Drummond - think about that for a sec.

I do not understand Raptors and this Casey. They have to send Valanciunas to Minesota! I think minesota would like to change Jonas to Pekovicius and Williams. This players will be good to Raptors and Valanciunas with real playmaker became superstar in NBA. Now this team do not understand what they have? they think that Valanciunas can do nothing in ofense? When he played in Lithuania national team he played against Ibaka and he did what he wanted and now suns played with Beasley and he doubted?

Some of you Lithuanian fans are really annoying. I want JV to get more touches, but stop this nonsense about how we should trade him.

Valanciunas definitely, he's earned it. Ross has been given numerous opportunities and has squandered it. Kleiza, Fields,Anderson,Pietrus and even Gay has missed games, there's been plenty of times Terrence has had a chance to solidify his spot in the rotation but he's failed unfortunately. During Summer League,he'll have a chance to regain some confidence.

I wouldn't say Beasley is a scrub. He is just un motivated like Andrea.

Trading JV would be the biggest reason to fire BC. (this move would be with no sense and simply dumb).

I took that to mean overall position in their respective drafts.

Even before you know what we'd get....really? I agree i don't want him traded but obviously if BC were to part with him (which he won't) it would have to mean we'd be getting a very good player in return. Besides, what do you care, you'll just follow him wherever he goes.

First of all, I truly like both JV and Ross. To be blunt both guys have demonstrated some major skill gaps that negates them being consistent contributing starters and at this time in their career in getting significant minutes.
JV - Love his effort, soft hands, and decent mid range shot ... Given we rarely run plays and look for the guy on offense, he seems to lack awareness of what his teammates may do ... he goes hard to basket and isn't able to get passes or see them at times. He also lacks athleticism and quick hops ... that's why he gets his shot blocked quite easily around the basket. My long-term assessment is that he will be an excellent guy to have on a team and a good starter, but we shouldn't expect him to become a dominant centre unless he continues to grow in size and develop some serious court awareness.
TR - This one is much tougher. Seems to be a great kid, but I stress the KID. He has some serious athleticism but frankly is a terrible shooter and lacks serious handles. Also not sure if he is a gym rat ... If he is a gym rat, with some serious one to one mentoring and a vet on the team helping him ... this guy has serious up side potential. He needs to stop shooting from the outside and start going to the basket. More penetrate and stopping in the lane and jump over his opponents and hit the easy 10 footers, or kick it out to an open teammate. Ross has the potential to be a good shooter ... he has some serious range in his shot ... but it isn't there today.
Casey needs to give these guys some serious minutes to really assess what we have and then work on their gaps in the off-season ....

I missed the game so you super geniuses that are still being downers are going to have to fill me in as to what Ross did wrong this game. All I have to go by is the boxscore. He played 20 minutes, registered a +17 and had 10 points, 4 boards and 2 assists, taking 7 shots and going 2/3 from dowtown. Reading a few of the comments here I would have expected something quite different.

What did he do wrong this time?

How many of you guys even played sports on an organized team? I mean, I really dislike the "I played ball" card that gets used by some posters, but it's like some of you don't seem to get that a loss of confidence and sporadic minutes can make someone look worse than they are. It applies to all levels, not just pros. I guess this is annoying me more this year because Bargnani, Davis and Demar all had consistent minutes during their rookie years, so their situations were different. It wasn't as big of a factor in discussions about them.
