Casey terrible at managing minutes?

Serious, why was Bargs playing 40+ min on the first of a back to back to back, then playing 40+ min the first game back from in injury than another 40 min the day right after?

Bargn88 01-26-2012 01:42 AM

Ed Davis really didn't do much tonight, they needed AB in the third and fourth quarter, until OT, he was pretty much the only guarantee on offence, until Kleiza stepped up.

I'd rather lose the game than get Bargs reinjured TBH. I think he should have at least limited his min the first half and let him play in the 2nd.

Thug 01-26-2012 01:44 AM

Oh come on.

If Bargnani wasn't on the floor during the fourth quarter when we were within striking distance, and in OT, Casey would be on the hot seat.

Bargnani didn't come with limitations on his minutes after the injury.

Kirby 01-26-2012 01:45 AM

I guess he really wants to win. With this roster, you can't really be a chooser.

Exactly! If he doesn't get hurt and we win (or not) would this be up? NOT!

Actually Davis looked quite good in the first half. Great energy, and had 5reb in 11 minutes. I don't know though why Barbosa and Davis didn't play more in the second half + OT. I guess Casey was riding the hot hands.

I blame the lockout, this compacted schedule is terrible.

Dirk is out, Rose missed time, Paul is out, Deng is out, etc....

JoeyJoJo Shabbadu 01-26-2012 02:12 AM

This is the most retarded poll and response ever.

Ya Davis looked ok in the first half, but he's not a very good defender, Milsap woulda eaten him alive, and on the offensive side, he can't do anything unless it's a put back.

Face it, if we wanted to win this game, we needed HEAVY minutes from our starters. Kleiza was an outlier, he really stepped up late.

Bargn88 01-26-2012 02:35 AM

Also, It is interesting to note that Bargn got injured on the back2back2back, and now again on a back2back. The minutes were too much.

DVS 01-26-2012 02:38 AM

LOL terrible at managing minutes. He problably thinking "man I have to put Bargs on the floor with four clowns"

Kuzzy 01-26-2012 02:49 AM

I think Bargnani (and arguably Barbosa) being the only legitimate scoring threat on this team has a lot to do with it. But, then again, Casey should be more reasonable; he's coming off an injury and there is a practically a game being player every other night.

DeMar and Jerryd are legitimate scoring threats.

Casey just doesn't know how to use them whatsoever.

DeMar has struggled offensively this season, and Bayless has been non-existent..

Barbosa is the next scoring threat after Bargnani, and then it's a freefall downhill from there.

Demar and Jerryd are legitimate role players, not players who can score/create their own shot on a consistent basis

RaptorsFan4Life 01-26-2012 03:19 AM

Demar can't create his own shot.
