You know, as much as this shtick grows the game, it would be nice for the new players to get acclimated to the home facility once in a while.

Mostly to keep all distractions at bay and provide team bonding. There could be a scrimmage for the public at the end of it.

They usually have a team scrimmage thing on the last day of training camp that is open to the public. So that is when the different cities get to experience this team a little.

Going to another city also lets the team experience other parts of the country. If you stay in Toronto you end up doing the same team bonding thing every year and you'll lose the effect of it.

Bahh, watch open gym next November. They'll have a full one or two episodes dedicated to Training camp and pre-season.

it's probably quicker to get to ACC by plane from Vancouver than from Markham via the DVP ...
