This guy's the wrong coach for this team. We're a bottom feeder so we're going to keep on getting young players. We need a coach that's capable of working with them.

I fail to see how he's wrong. Look at all the studs that get huge minutes on bottom feeders and don't become much of anything. Ross and Valanciunas are looking good and getting better bit by bit, and learning within a system and a culture that is being established. What is missing in that? Is it just so difficult to appreciate Anderson to any extent that anything given to him is just terribly misguided?

Anderson has outplayed ross defensively, but Casey needs to put a damn leash on him offensively..

To be fair - AA has outplayed Ross. Ross when he has played has been extremely unproductive. However, it doesn't help that Ross sees AA chucking shots up and then he probably thinks it's alright to do the same thing.

I'd love to see Ross play but considering that the Raptors were in the playoff hunt a week and a half ago it made sense to see Alan Anderson get more minutes than Ross.

I'm not a big Casey fan especially with his rotations early in the year.
I want Ross to succeed ... seems like a nice kid, but AA is a better player today and made sense with our attempt to make the playoffs a couple of weeks back.

I get worried when Jack continues to repeat that Ross needs to be a gym rat this coming summer ... we knew DD was a gym rat even in his first year on Raps. Indicates that Ross is not the first person in and the last person out of the gym ... hope he matures and has the effort and mind set to improve. We don't need another Bargs with talent, minimal effort and mental toughness.

Time now to see what Ross and JV have ... extended minutes should be the norm for the balance of the season.

I can see the arguments for AA over Ross at times.

I CANNOT see the argument for AA over Jonas.

We are not the Miami Heat. We won't beat good teams with a "small ball" lineup.

don't understand what the "consequences" are at this point, i'm a casey believer for the most part, but at this point in the season what are the "consequences"

you lose some close games because the youngs make mistakes because of their inexperience? so what, the wins mean nothing now

we're throwing them to the wolves and their too fragile? heck, we've been starting JV since game #1 until he got hurt, that was when it counted and there was real pressure

i can understand the tight leash on this guys in the beginning of the season when things mattered and we were trying to develop a team system, but now its at a point where it doesn't matter, the youngs should be free to play like demar was his rookie season, learn through your mistakes, teach them in the game, if you have to pull them quickly you do that, give them a talk on the bench and then send them back out to work on things
at this point AA should see only minutes that are required to rest everyone else, which is probably like 5 minutes, we don't need to "see" what he can do, we all know what he can do, he's not necessarily "developing" on the court, he isn't the core part of the team's future, and we shouldn't feel obligated to "showcase" him so he can get a better contract next season with whomever he signs with, if we want to re-sign him doesn't showcasing him just make his price go higher so we'd have to pay more, although i don't think his value changes much, and if he's 1 of those guys were his value isn't really going to change all that much then why does it matter if he gets minutes or not

Casey is one of the worst coaches in the league, and it is time for all of us to see this. Tonights game was an other terrible view. Defence still kind of playable but we surely play the worst offensive game around. No ball movement, no improvisations, no nothing, all we have is rudy or de mar playing one on one and taking any shots if there is a slightest chance, with lowry not much difference. I always thought good point guard suppose to roll the game but all he does is pass to one of the other two or take a shot himself. One thing we do quite well, i.e. our bigs (amir and JV only) is getting the offensive rebounds, if they didn't we'd be saying they are not an nba players, because no one passes the ball to them. So that's our game if your name is not rudy or de mar or kyle and you want to score a bucket, get an offensive rebound. This is all bull, even talks about , if he was used properly he could have been a very useful player. Well, Casey is there to make everyone else look bad. There are some decent players in the squad, of course we could use a good point guard, and with a decent coach playoffs would be not hard to make.

Exactly this. What's more he never takes the initiative on offence. Instead of us forcing them to match up with us, we are always matching up with them. What coach in their right mind thinks we, the lowly Raptors, could beat Miami at their own game by playing small ball. I bet spolestra was laughing during the game.

I agree. He gives you a consistent effort every night regardless if he forces some shots now and again the point is 1) who doesn't and 2) he gives 100 % on both ends. The young guys have to understand that you work for what you get, it's not simply handed to you and that's a good precedent to set.
Is AA the answer.. No
Should he get more minutes than TRoss or JV... No
but these guys have to understand that it's effort night in night out that will gets them on the court. JV IMO already has that motor as for TRoss I'm not sure.
Do we want another repeat of Bargs?? A player that Sam Mitchell even stated he couldn't coach him as hard as Jose and a player that was given a lot more than what the proved he deserved especially when it comes to EFFORT.
