Casey is probably happy to have someone on board now who isn't insubordinate like Jose. From now on when he implores his starting PG to push the ball up the floor, he won't be ignored.

Just stop responding to it and it'll go away.

Nice to see Casey and Lowry clicking already.

Jose has been in the middle of so many starting PG controversies in his career.

Coincidence?

outside of seasons with TJ FOrd and Jarrett Jack i can't think of any. Unless i am forgetting something obvious.

Anyways, in the case with TJ, Jose was clearly outplaying him and it was TJ who was horribly handling the internal competition. As for the Jack season, i don't know... seemed to me more like the fans making an issue out of it more than anything. It's not like Jack was all that good here.

Or anywhere else, for that matter.

I am very excited about who is coming next to Toronto, clearly Calderon (who is playing awesome for Spain right not) is gone if the coach and the new kid are shitting all over him in the press. Toronto as a Franchise can
't afford to throw people to the wolves like this, its bad PR if you ask me. Have a little class ff sakes.

I think when Lowry is saying he's the leader I think he's more so referring to him being the point guard than him being the best player on the team. No disrespect to Jose but it'll be interesting to see what we can do with a good defensive PG.

This one is odd. His one season here had a 48FG% and shot 41 3PT% and when he started we went from a non playoff team to a 5th seed and he was a large reason why. He was traded a month into the following season when he struggle out of the gate and it was obvious we couldn't continue with both players wanting to start. We were an above .500 team when he started here.

Well considering theres not many other players worth being called a leader of this team, go ahead Lowry... Bargs is a big quiet baby who barely even speaks... And Jose is not inspiring in any way.

Maybe he was asked a two part question that involved his role of the team and if he can call himself a leader on our squad. Either way, I like the confidence!

The pg is generally considered the leader.

Im all for people taking the reigns, I think its admirable, I just think they are tossing Calderon under the bus quite a bit and could maybe handle it a bit differently.

But ya dont mistake my own post as anything but that, leadership is hard, and if Lowry is in fact willing and able to take control, then I will be a happy guy, it cant hurt

As much as i want Lowry to take the reigns and want Jose gone (more because of the distraction than anything else) but i have to wonder how he felt watching that press conference when Colangelo said Lowry was the PG of the future and said he was being given the keys to the team. I don't think they're doing this on purpose but if there was a market for Jose he'd be gone by now. They're in a shitty situation right now and i said this before, it won't end well.

I agree, Toronto is creating their own grave with this one, they won't get shit for him now, I see it like Vince all over again, getting lowballed like mad. And Jose, well he aint having it, you can already see that and why should he, he has put in time for this franchise. Look at how well the Sun treated Nash on his way out, THAT is how you do it or else why the fuck would people want to come.

I said all along, if you can't get what you want for Jose we were better off amnestying him and going after a SF. Too late now, and this will fester for the next 6 months.
