Look in the row "In games won" and "in games lost". We went 19-47 with him so that means we went 3-13 without him.

Fortunately this team won't stay as is. He needs to go and the team needs to continue to improve. Like i said, he shouldn't be #1 and is useless as a #2 or#3 because he still can't play D.

If I had to choose someone out of those two, I'd take Frank every time.

I'm not taking anything away from Dwayne Casey (don't know the man and I know he's much smarter at basketball than I ever have been) but Frank still has that cache that fans know about him and plus he's a very good coach.

Right now, I think this franchise needs a guy like Frank.

Frank has similar problems to Triano. He has motivational issues and he has trouble getting his voice heard sometimes. And he's not particularly good with young players.

Where have you seen/heard he has motivational issues?

You can tell. If you watched during his last couple of seasons with the Nets it seems like guys were tuning him out.

I remember every single Nets fan wanting Frank to be fired, the season before they started 0-16.

Also watching this, too funny...
The comments just confirm what people thought of him back then. All of this said, he's probably an improved overall coach, being with Boston and all.

May not matter, apparently Frank is up for the Detroit job as well.

Frank Lawarence is a slight upgrade from Triano...

I'm leaning more towards Casey now

if i recall correctly, i remember GG wanted to hire casey but the board forced his hand into hiring kevin o'neill. i remember always wanting casey and eric musselman as our head coach.

with that said, i'd be happy with casey, but i'd rather have frank as our coach.

Says the guy who claims to know what goes on behind the scenes of the Raps because he watched a training camp special one time.

And actually, Devin Harris came out and publically stated that he had alienated the players.

When did I say I knew what was going on behind the scenes? And when did Devin Harris say this publically?

Frank did a great job with Boston this year on the D side after Tom Thibodeau left to Chicago. Casey has been doing great with the Mavs.
I will be happy with Frank or Casey, and will try and put Jay as an assistant.
Yeah, it's unusual but it may work. If any of you think that Casey or Frank are not legit HC is this league u must be nuts. Even an okay coach like Sam Mitchell still didn't find a job back in the NBA after being fired.

Maybe not behind the scenes per se, but you I seem to recall you being pretty certain about how the players felt and how Triano had no personality based on stuff you watched on TV.

Quote:
Asked whether Frank's voice being heard is an issue with the team, Harris started his answer by saying, "I don't think so," before going on to say that, yes, perhaps it is an issue - whether he meant it or not.

"It is a long season and speaking from a player's standpoint, voices do get repetitive, which is natural. But that's a big thing for (Rod) obviously, if everybody is buying in, if the voice is being heard," Harris said. "If you look at us and how we play defensively, you wouldn't think so. Maybe not. But it's a hard thing to discern because you can only speak for yourself. It's no secret that we're not that good defensively and we tend to struggle with team-oriented things, so maybe not everybody is buying in as much as we need to."
.
Quote:
Devin Harris hears Lawrence Frank's voice loud and clear because he communicates with the coach on a daily basis during the season. He says he would "love" to have Frank back on the Nets' sideline next season.

But when it comes to how some of his teammates feel about Frank, Harris isn't so sure.

Asked Tuesday whether the Nets want Frank to return, Harris may have revealed why team president Rod Thorn has taken so long to make that determination.

"I think some guys are kind of too young to understand what's going on," Harris said, "and some of the veterans I think have mixed feelings."

I remember saying that but it wasn't meant to say that's solely what I base my opinion on triano on. I was just saying that I saw how he interacted with thge players and it was part of how my opinion of him, which I will admit was bias by that point anyway since I already didn't like him. Anyway, thanks for posting that article, interesting read and good to know. I'd stiil be ok if we hired him though even though at this point I'm leaning toward Casey based on what I've read of him.
