Question Can We Consider Bosh "The Franchise" Yet?

I know this topic has come up multiple times over the last couple years, but considering the start to this season eventhough as a team we've had some ups & downs early, can Bosh start being considered as "The Franchise" here in Toronto?

Today was the perfect example of a player that stepped it up and took over the game almost singlehandedly and carried the team on his back.

Thoughts?

A full season or two of consistently playing games like today and I'd say yes.

Of course he's the Franchise -- we have made the playoffs the last two seasons and he's been our leader!

Yeah, sorry I misunderstood.

He's already considered the franchise here...I think he'll be huge superstar if he continues with efforts like he did today on a consisten basis.

Bosh is THE FRANCHISE without doubt ... if he can play like tonight many games this season, than he can be NBA MVP not only Raptors MVP.

He is already our franchise. Without him we wouldn't have even won a game yet

Chris Bosh is already what Lebron is to the Cavs and what Dwight Howard is for the Magic.

Two years ago when so many had given up on him and he was still improving, he was the franchise guy. Now he's a franchise player with some talent around him. He can play 43 minutes today and look much fresher than when he played 40 a couple of years ago.

I think of Franchise players as guys who can consistently carry the team and win games in the 4th quarter.

Bosh had a great game today and willed us to win. But, until he starts to do these things on a consistent player, I consider him a very good player, but I leave the Franchise tag for LeBron, Kobe, Wade and a few others.

I'm looking at 6 game stats and seeing consistency. He brings it every game, wins winnable games and doesnt give up on unwinnable ones.

since his defense is still below average, he will have to be a monster on offense to warrant consideration for MVP. As far as franchise players go, I think the question was asked relative to the discussions a while ago whether Bosh is a franchise player in the mold of TD, KG, Lebron etc, as opposed to a "second hand" franchise player like Arenas, Carter, Redd, McGrady etc. And my answer to that is a definite no. I think he's playing better this season - but he still doesn't dominate the game like those superstars do. He's doing it at times, so the potential is there. I think it's too early in the season to be having this conversation, this is best left for post season talks - let's see how he performs in the playoffs first.

He's been the franchise guy for a couple years now. Let's not call him the Franchise because we all know what happened to Steve Francis' career.

Oh, for sure, he's our franchise. It's as Chris Bosh goes, so does the Raptors.
