Default Can Tmac return? 2010 offseason?

I think this offseason will be the biggest in francaise history, retaining Bosh is the major proirity. and if we do, thats just great news for everoyne and this organization.

ive heard former raptor tracy mcgrady would be willing to sign for low dollars next year(knicks), maybe so the knicks can sign Lebron + someone else + lee, which would be an amazing lineup. but forget bout the knicks dreams, do yu think mcgrady would like to return to toronto? id definatly welcome him with open arms, no homo, i missed him every since the day he left =[ still have his rookie jersey too.

And with that said, if we aquire mcgrady and retain bosh, damm thats good. but what bout turk? his progress has been limited, the last two games have been good though, but if he continues to struggle, i dont see him improving in the future. after this year he will be 31, and hes not gonna get much better. i say we trade him for some other bad contract but get someone. Lets say turk plays better at the end of the season, thats great for us, his trade value gets higher. and then we can trade him + another raptor or pick for maybe a veteran defensive specialist with considerable offesnsive game. that way, we'll have Defense at the 3.

then with the improvements of Bosh bargnani, derozan, and jack. im sure our team can look like this

Bargnani averaing 18 and 7 borads 2 blks
bosh
Defensive specialist from trade
mcgrady
Jarrat jack

i remember tmacs defense to be pretty solid, and he was a good blocker for someone his size. what do yu guys think , is tmac still a good defender? wwith that said, im sure our roaster will be better than before.

the next thing after those moves is to retain some of our solid bench players like amir johnson, or maybe go after some defensive shot blockers like camby or haywood. it would certainly help the raptors.

whatcah guys think? :O

No. T-Mac is ecstatic to be in NY and he's gonna stay.

I saw his first interview as a Knick. seemed to me he'd love to stay there over anything else. Said he didn't care about money any more and all that shit.

Plus he'll be greatful that they traded for him and gave him another chance on the floor.

If they have a huge offseason I can see T-Mac signing for a small 1 year deal and then getting paid a year later or something like that.

Guys, I don't know if you've been keeping up with the McGrady injury report, but from everything I have read, you do not want to be counting on him in any plans - short term or long term.

Forget that in his "healthy" days he would be down for a good 20 games a season due to back pain, the repeated knee surgeries have left TMac with little to no cartilage in his knees for shock protection. This is pretty much the same state Allan Houston was in towards the end of his Knicks career.

TMac scored a bunch and looked good in his Knicks debut, but please don't take his 26-4-5 as any kind of indication that the old TMac is back. He isn't - there's a reason Houston didn't play him and traded him away.

He is currently a defensive liability of the Jose Calderon order, and doesn't have the quickness or lift that he used to. I'd say a realistic expectation out of TMac in something like 30 mins a game is about 15 points, 4 boards and dimes on ~41% shooting -- basically Hedo numbers with worse D.

This prediction may come back to haunt me but I doubt it. From everything I've read, his knees are toast - Allan Houston/Alvin Williams levels of bone on bone contact.

I don't think T-Mac is going to want to leave NY. The fans gave him a huge ovation even before he got onto the court, and they genuinely were happy to have such a talented guy on their team. He must've felt extremely happy about it. And he didn't disappoint, either. He showed a quick first step and great athleticism. When he was on the court, the Knicks were a completely different team; more passing, more movement, and more opportunities for everyone. It seemed like the players just cared about the game. And whenever he was on the bench, the fans kept chanting for him to check in. As much as I hate the Knicks, I wanted him to lead them to the win (his two missed free-throws at the end of the 4th completely fucked them over, BTW).

NY still sucks, and outside of T-Mac and Lee, they have a pretty garbage roster, but if they do manage to get a big name FA this off-season, I can see Tracy staying there and doing work. T-Mac and Amare, for example, would be a great combination. Though, I wonder what T-Mac will do if he beasts the rest of the season and proves to people that he still has it (he is only 30 years old, after all, younger than Kobe or Dirk). Is he worth top dollar?

he's staying in NY, he even said he would sign for the vet min if required. i'm pretty sure he isn't looking much for money anymore with his 100mil + contract ending this summer.

t-mac will never EVER leave NY knicks for toronto....unless a drastical change happend....i mean Knicks has more publicity there than toronto. I mean it's New York, Madison Square Garden. Many players dream to play there, just because of it's stadium and city. T-Mac will not come to toronto, i give it 1%.

The only way I see T-Mac leaving NY is if they don't sign a marquee free agent (LeBron, Wade, Joe Johnson, Bosh, Amare etc.) and Lee leaves (he's on a 1 year deal right?) ... I'd say it's not necessarily going to happen but i'd def. say theres more than a 1% chance.

You don't know that. Although I do agree he likely won't come here.

Why would he leave because of that? All the more glory for him if they don't come.

Don't believe in a single word Mac 'Greedy' says. He'd said he wanted to stay in Toronto and later he didn't even pick up the phone when Raptors called him in the summer. We don't have a cent to spend on his washed career.

oh boy.

I would be very happy if Tracy and the Knicks could stay together for all eternity so my hatred can be nicely concentrated and locked in on one target.

I really hope they end up giving him lots of money too.
