Can the Raptors dominate on home court this season?

We're 4-1 @ home this season and imo we need to get around 27wins at home this season to really be in the 4-6 seed discussions. That said, we'd need 17-18 wins on the road as well.

So can we achieve a 27-14 record at home and an 18-23 record on the road and end the season at 45-37?

This Raptors team really needs to get cranked up at home and we need to be a scary place to play for any opposing team. I think this could be the case with the groupe we have. It really starts now, and we have 8 home games in December mostly against against teams that we can beat (Detroit, Washington, Minnesota, NJ, NO, Charlotte, Atlanta, Houston)

Thoughts?

With the way Bargnani plays at home - it's a possibility.

i look for 30+ wins at home to be considered dominant.
i think this team has the talent to do it, but gotta stay away from jumpshots

You look at the soft schedule that many of the teams ahead of the Raptors have had and there is reason to be optimistic. If you look at Bargs yes his defense is not going to remind anyone of Bill Walton but his Pts/Rbs/Asts are rather good. At the beginning of the season everyone was hoping for 6 plus I believe he is over 6. The Raps will give Clevland problems all year. They haven't had chances of easy wins against NY and NJ. The Celts look more vulnerable everyday. If you look realistically they should be no worse than 6th. Atlanta is the surprise they are winning against good teams and bad.

The only teams I see above the Raps are Atlanta, Orlando, Cleveland & Boston???.
Milkaukee has had a easy schedule, Miami is coming down to earth,Chicago & Indiana are not in the Raps league.

Look at Raps with a 1/4 of the season gone they will be knocking on 4ths door. Plus team starting to mesh and still has injuries.

Make sure Colangelo leaves a gift of goodies in the Ref's locker room before each game and then the Raps will have a traditional styled advantage over their opponents in homecourt Games.

BUMP

Well let's revisit this.

We sit at 12-5 @ Home and 5-13 on the road (Yikes!!)

Our remaining home games this month are:

Boston -W (revenge?)
Dallas -L
Milwaukee -W
Lakers -L
Miami -W
Indiana -W

How many of those will we win. If we can win say 4 of those 6 games and be 16-7 @ home after this month we'll be on pace for roughly 27-28 wins at home and a very good home schedule in February.

How many wins do you now predict we can get @ Home. Man we better get it going on the road!!

the fact that we're good at home is a good sign that we're a pretty damn good team...i bet we're in the top 10 in the nba or something like that in terms of home record.

And the road? New team....9 new players.....NO surprise. It's obviously gonna take time. The goal is to be good on the road once the playoffs come around, so we can steal a couple of games

Bump........

We're now 15-6 and have essentially played half our home games. At the begining of the season i said it would be nice if we can win 28 games at home.

This now looks very doable, 13-7 is what it would take. I really hope we can win 30 @ home.

This team definately gets something from the home crowd. No doubt about it.

Its like that extra push that transforms us from good to really good.

Who cares.

Good teams win on the road. We have a horrible road record.

True, come playoff time the raps will most likely need to win atleast 1 on the road

however, they also need to hold serve at home...which is why winning at home is so important.

We are definitely taking steps in the right direction.

The Raps are playing EXECELLENT ball at home.... and they're no longer getting walked on when they're on the road.

They just need a bit more confidence/experience.

I think we have a shot at it.
