Question Can Bosh & O'Neal Coexist Together?

Bosh and Jermaine on paper sounds and looks awesome to most, but Grange brought up a good point in his blog this morning. With Jermaine potentially coming into the fold, does this mean less touches offensively for Bosh and not as much offense run through him like there has over the past couple seasons. Could this be good or bad for the Raptors? I personally think from a team perspective is would be awesome, but do you think its going to sit well with the "franchise" himself, Bosh?

The way the last 48 hours before the draft work is that that the league finally begins to turn up the burners on the old hot stove, but nothing really happens until the last minute because no one wants to make a move until as much information is on the table as possible.

Because there is a fair amount of parity after the top two picks – a lot of good players but no definitive pecking order – there is expected to be a lot of trade action, with the Heat, Sonics, Grizzlies, and Blazers all likely to be part of the mix.

The Raptors desire to trade T.J. Ford is well known and a deal may or may not go down tomorrow night. Word is Phoenix and Indiana were still on the front burner as of yesterday with two or three other potential deals “simmering.”

Tomorrow night we'll get to find out.

As I've written a couple of times this week, I think Jermaine O'Neal is fool's gold.

For good reason the Raptors run the bulk of their offence through Chris Bosh and adding O'Neal simply means less touches for the Raptors best offensive option.

Im no big fan of Oneal, but I expect Bosh to be willing to have less shots. He better be.
I have always thought he is not an egoistic player. I hope this prooves it.

Bosh would get a ton of touches since JO would probably miss 30-40 games!

I think Bosh and JO together would be the start of a huge Dynamic Duo. They'll be great together and we'll probably be rated one of the best big man team (PF/C) in the league.

Interesting to see what Bryan has to say in 2 hours.

from what i'm seeing Bosh is turning into an attention whore. if he really is the franchise then he should be able to accept changes (o'neal). i actually like the idea of less plays going through Bosh so he would improve in shot selection and more aggression in the paint to get those touches! ;P

Do everyone a favour and at least think hypothetically please. If I had a penny for every time you mentioned O'Neal and his issues in the past with injuries I'd be a millionaire now. Take a break man.

That's an understatement.

We know the risks already in acquiring Jermaine, but let's pretend for a moment that he's healthy again. How do you feel now? Does Jermaine take some of the limelight away from Bosh and do fans think Chris is going to be OK with that?

We need an inside presence and Bosh knows that. I'm pretty sure he also above all else wants to win.

The team takes 80 shots a game. They can both get their touches.

we won't know until it happens. lets just say Bosh will be OK with it as long as their winning. nothing increases chemistry more than winning.

In an 82 game season I'm sure he would welcome help on the boards and paint. Right now for Bosh as a PF he is having to duke it out on the defensive end against guys like Howard.

I think that Bosh would be fine with playing with O'neil or anyone else for that matter as long as it makes the team better. Bosh is not the type of player to be selfish. He wants to win and he's a team player IMO!

If oneal's healthy and like his old self, Bosh doesnt need to be the primary scoring option. He and O'neal can split that, and Bosh would have no problems with that. This guy has no EGO at all, all he wants to do is WIN...

on another note: Does anyone know if the Colangelo speaking to the media at 2pm will be on tv at all?

Hmmm ... are we entirely sure about that? Not the ego like VC was during his latter years in Toronto, but Bosh is far from being reserved. The You Tube videos, the reporter for Jay Leno during the Finals and his recent own references in an interview where he referred to himself as the "franchise" is quickly becoming pretty egotistical if you ask me.
