i think it's great that a player has this attitude. I have a lot of respect for any player that comes out and says that. Just how much someone like Jose can carry by themselves, i don't know - probably not that much, but you can see that he wants nothing more than to stop the losing. Same thing with someone like Derozan (who i'm sure feels the same way).

Just like Jose to run his mouth after a couple of games starting.
Where was this sentiment, this professionalism, when he was the back-up. If these words came from Bargnani after he had a couple of good games, we'd be rolling on the floor. Jose is professional at whining. |

This is a great story.... re-sign him for 3 years, 12M and move Lowry in a Bargnani deal that nets us the biggest star we can find.... ideally a SF.
draft a young PG with huge upside and a willingness to learn from Jose's offensive mentorship and Casey's defensive framework. |

triple doubles have this effect on people. fans and players a like. He remains our biggest trade asset. So I am still looking at this as a great opportunity to show case a great player. If BC is wavering on this, we have bigger problems.

Caldy would get more than 4mil, i see him getting easily 6mil. Unless he would say no to the money and resign here because he loves Toronto

I think he takes a significant pay cut in return for the trust and commitment from the organization and city he loves. He's not getting more than that elsewhere. |

People...Jose is not capable of running this team. We've seen it for the past multiple years. The guy has a few triple doubles and all of a sudden people are calling for a Lowry trade and ready to crown Jose? Good grief.
All this is doing is uping his trade value. |

Still don't know why people talk so much trash about this guy. Always been a great player for us. Terrible defender, but very talented at many other things.
Calderon: 13.2 pts - 11.5 ast - 4 rebs - 45%FG - 49%3 - 83% FT - 2 3's CP3 : 16.5 pts - 9 ast - 3.5 rebs - 47%FG - 32% 3 - 89% FT - 1 3 I know you can't compare the two players and I know stats are only stats...you still gotta have some talent to put up those kinds of numbers as a starter...don't give a shit who you are. |

Jose is capable... for the last three years, he's had a sub-average SG beside him still learning the game, a perpetually non-existent, small forward assortment of crap, a PF that is much like himself in that his strengths lie on the offensive side but struggles to defend at more than an average level, and a variety of mediocre centers from Aaron Gray to an aging Rasho Nesterovic.
Geezuz, it's like people on here still think Jamario Moon got a bad deal here. |

Jose is a great Offensive player. But you can't win with him starting. His mobility is a huge liability. You can't be putting that amount of pressure on your bigs coming up to help through out the game. It just leads to early fouls and easy buckets. If we don't trade this guy we will be spinning our wheels for another three years. Is lowery the answer? Probably not. But we have to start using trade assets at the peak of there value, not waiting for him to pull another hamy.
