Well so far only 2 guys voted to get him out of Toronto and we get all this crap about Jose. I wonder what the number would have been if we did the same poll for Bargs in December.

I'll stand up. I like Jose as a person and as a player. I think he's a great shooter and a decent playmaker...that said if we can get a player that can do the things we saw Rose do tonight...get to the rack and get points at the end of the clock, get to the free throw line and drive and dish more I would move him. We struggle so much to win close games because we dont' have that guard that can take over and get us points. I like Jose, but with the roster the way it is I dont' think he's the ideal guard for us, and since he has trade value he might be able to be moved for a player more suited to this team and if so i would do it. If we can't get that type of player in return...i'm totally fine with keeping him...moving someone else to get that type of player for the wing spot.

Why the hell would anybody even ask this question?

Solomon sucks, and Ukic is still a long way from being good enough to be a starter in the NBA.

Sorry, but anyone who thinks Jose sucks doesn't know a thing about the game. I'd trade him only if I think I'm getting someone better like CP3 or Deron Williams.

Keep him b/c we don't have any full time starting PG but if we traded him for Nash I would be intrigued.

I dont want a point guard scoring 30 points on my team, I want a wing that does that.

I want a point guard who hits the open shot and gets assists, with a decent wing beside him and Bosh and Bargs duo, Jose fits that bill perfectly.

hey, cut me some slack, it's not my poll ...
for sake of argument, let's say we trade jose for tj, would that be enough to "get rid" of Jose?

If I'm BC, I better be getting Chris Paul if I decide to trade my golden point guard. What people fail to see in Calderon's game, is that he's one of the few (and i mean FEW) players in the league who doesn't give a crap about stats. He plays the game to win, he loves his teammates, and most importantly, does NOT LOOK FOR SHOTS. What is a point guard supposed to do? Make players around him better. Solomon is a natural shooting guard, and will never, ever, ever, be a good enough point guard to start for ANY NBA team, or atleast SHOULDN'T START. Roko is a solid young player, who has a lot of potential, i really like his game. Bottom line, Jose plays a hugee role in the future of this franchise, and I'm not talking about a negative roll. The only pg in the league that can have a 4 point type performance and still be a key contributer to a win for his team. Not only do I love his game, but I put all trust in Jose's hands (the ball) in any situation, because I know that 9/10 times he's NOT gonna F*ck up. The only players that shouldn't be considered for a trade are Bargs, Colderon, and Roko, given that those are the 3 guys that will only get better, ALOT better. And before you bash my thread know that I WOULD trade any of these guys for an opprotunity to make the Raptors a better team, but I would not risk them for any players will equal talent ( KEY WORD IS POTENTIAL ). You can get a very good player for Chris Bosh, or 2 Good players, and if you ask me, thats less of a risk than trading any of these 3 guys. Bosh is a fluke. Bash me now, but a guy like Bosh is only good because of his work-ethic, and will never make the same impact in this league as a Kobe Bryant, or Steve nash in the past. EVER. Im not saying he's a bad player, just not BORN with NATURAL ability to be a superstar.

Some of us dont' fail to see that Jose doesn't give a crap about his stats or that he doesn't make a lot of mistakes...those are very glaring facts that we all see. The point some of us maintain is that as good as he is, we're not winning with him and have never consistantly beaten good teams with him at the reigns....SO either find better players to compliment his half-court, pick and roll style or move him for a pg that works more with our roster.

As for your comments about Chris Bosh... players with his work-ethic and desire to improve are a rare thing. His humility and hunger serve this team well and we're lucky to have him in our franchise. The kid wants to win and leaves it on the floor every time. Will he ever be the best player in the league? No..i'm comfortable saying that but he's an allstar and ourstar but like anyone if you can improve the team, anyone's expendable. Just dont' undervalue his heart and work-ethic. It takes more than talent to be a good player(vc, tmac, marbury, francis etc...).

I agree with you 100% about Bosh, you didnt really dispute anything I said about him. Of course work ethic and heart count for a lot, that goes without saying. I am just stating the fact that he is expandable, and far from "UNTOUCHABLE" (< trade wise). As for the Raptors losing without Jose, are they winning without him? Dont blame the one guy thats stayed consistent all season with his shooting, distributing and decision making ability. The only thing Jose lacks much in is 1 on 1 defense. His presence in the line up, does not account for any losses. Just think about all those times Chris Bosh rushed a shot, or made an aweful play to try and win the game. You can easily blame the Raptor's inability to win games on Bosh more than Jose. Bosh makes a living at the free throw line, the only thing he's reeeally good at besides shooting the mid range, is his ability to get to the line. Thats where it ends with Bosh in my opinion.

Raptors need to play a zone defense against penetrating teams more often, they're 1 on 1 defense as a team is weaker than most individual players on other teams. They also need to bush the ball up court, and STOP SETTLING FOR THE JUMP SHOTS, which by the way Chris Bosh is a very skilful doing (settling for the long bomb). Barnani's play as of late has contributed to a few victories, the "Wins are because Jose is out of the line-up" bullshhit should be dropped, FAST. All a player needs when coming back from an injury is for his fans to crush his confidence.

Long Stay Jose ! Long live the Raptors ...
