yea, cuz real "team" guys are playing for the love of the game, they dont wanna make the most $ they can while doing it....

Thats ridiculous, part of the respect in the game is being paid. In any job in the world you want to be paid the same or better as some1 producing aswell as you are, this by no means makes you greedy or not a team guy.

Thumbs up

But Jose, you are playing with the contract of your life. (Now the spanish interviewer uses an expresion that means, that people may try to use him, because of his "nice nature".)
(laughing), This is a team game. You dont have to look at this as one player. Belsius I think this will be a closer translation.

This is a game of team effort, you don't look just for yourself, Beside that, I don't care playing the worst games of my life from now until the end of the season, next year contract won't change, if anything it will make more expensive, There are values in a team that they are as important as the numbers(stats).

I actually thought that when he said "numeros", it could either mean money or stats.By the context money has more sense, but numeros ir usually means stats. I think he ment money there, maybe Im wrong.

Why to them?
One is the player tax exemption and the other the Co-captain.

With him being a free agent, he'll need all the tax exemption he can get

I think if you want to resume this interview it would be like.

"Ok, I do this for the good of the team and thats the most important thing, but Im not stupid and i expect something back from them, and thats resigning me the next year for a good contract"

I am sure BC said something like this to Jose:"Don't worry, we'll take care of you... this is for the remainder of the season only and in the off season TJ will be gone so come next season you will be our starting PG..."
