I thought Butch was a fine coach as well but when he sued Camby during the playoffs that was just dumb.

Good Coach that unfortunately made a horrible mistake which ended his NBA career.

Say what you will about his level of sanity, but the man knew how to implement all of his team's "parts" to their fullest.

Butch is/was a dolt.

He benefited from having a veteran laden team with guys who knew how to get it done and VC when he was one of the most dynamic scorers in the game.

I believe T-Mac described the Butch era aptly when he said something about the boat sinking.

tmac was praying that it would end like that - talking about a "sinking ship".
he knew he was bolting anyway and needed a good reason.

Wow - I was at that game. It made last night's game look like the Santa Claus Parade. It was one of the worst live game experiences I've ever witnessed. It was a hell of a lot more than just Tracy wanting to bolt, and he hardly needed a good reason - he already had one - he wanted to play in his hometown.

Yea, Butch was really making Tmac great, with his limited min even tho he played hard and was obviously as gifted as VC. It's a wonder when a team promised him the moon, the $ and the franchise tag he left, to his hometown, what a dummy.
