Bulls & Raptors talking trade

Gotta love silly season!

Quote:
In a shocking discovery, the Bulls and Raptors have engaged in talks that would send Chris Bosh to the Bulls before Thursday’s trade deadline. The Bulls would send Luol Deng and Joakim Noah to the Raptors for Bosh. Personally, I’m surprischris_bosh.jpged by this. The idea of giving up Noah with the possibility of Bosh leaving after the season seems like a high risk. In addition, Noah is enjoying a breakout season and I’m surprised they’re willing to trade him. On the other hand, it does clear Luol Deng’s large contract and gives the Bulls a better chance at resigning Bosh at the end of the season. If the trade goes down, it would make it one of the biggest mid-season blockbusters of all time. Update: Tuesday, Feb. 16, 4:00 central time.

In smaller news, Tyrus Thomas is likely to be traded. Big surprise right? Thomas’ has been discussed in almost a dozen different scenarios and is almost certain to be moved by Thursday. If Al Harrington is not part of a T-Mac deal, look for a Tyrus-Harrington swap (and salaries to make it match) to go down.

why not? Maybe Chris has said he isnt going to resign here.

But just the same Deng and Turk on the same team make no sense, the Bulls or someone would have to take on Turk as well.

I agree, but it's less than we could get if we put Bosh on the market. As long as Salmons or Tyrus doesn't come back in such a deal... those guys are not winners.

If Bosh wants out:

Bosh

for

Noah
Salmons or Deng or Thomas
Hinrich
Pick

But, Bosh is going nowhere, at least not until July! But if Bosh wants out this summer this would be a deal i could posssibly live with. But we'd have wayyyyyy too many wing players!

You know who would be a good trading partner with a deal that involved Bosh? Memphis. If we could somehow get Mayo and Gay whatever other contracts to make it work for Bosh, I'd take it in a heartbeat...

how so? Deng has a huge contract and plays the same position has Turk. Salmons makes much more sense.. a two guard that can shoot and defend and also can back up the three

Memphis doesn't give up Mayo and Gay for Bosh... they become very weak at the 2/3 with Gasol/Randolph/bosh up front?

I heard the Cavs are trading James to the Raptors for Banks, Wright, & Turk
What a blockbuster but worried the Raptors might get cheated in the deal

Salmons can't shoot. That's one reason he hasn't worked out next to Rose. He put up numbers in Sacramento on a bad team. He is overrated as they come. His defence isn't amazing either... maybe average. I just don't want him. Look at the Bulls year.

couldnt agree more...noah is a stud, plays excellent defence and ia a insane rebounder...would be perfect along Bargs if Bosh decides to leave...
